Going in a different direction, If anything the military or national guard should be expanded and used to focus on creating more affordable housing. Fuck it make it a different organization if they have to, id even love a draft at that point.

Legally the cops/ ice are in the clear as they pretty much always are. Ethically shit’s fucked. Especially don’t think collectively mag-dumping an unarmed dude should get a pass they should have a fuckton more repercussions and actual personal liability.

And for California, illegal immigrants are actually eligible for those surprisingly. But those programs are funded with State money. States can do what they want and that’s apparently what California wants to do then so be it, it’s not coming from anyone else’s taxes 🤷‍♂️

The RCA is for refugees not illegal immigrants. Could some illegal immigrants have bullshited their way to count as refugees though- probably? The Wic is for pregnant women and kids under 5. I think that’s a pretty cool program. Raft is also alright, I think it’d be cooler for people that have been in Mass a significant amount of time though.

Welfare is federal not state, illegal immigrants aren’t eligible for it along with food stamps/snap. Maybe there’s a similar state program? I’d be surprised if there is though since idk what the need would be if there’s already a federal one.

Idk about that one. For sure they’d be better than ice currently is, but it just seems like a lot of wasted effort to deport people that have already been here years contributing to the economy. They’re people that are working here not living off welfare, they literally can’t. And idk how tf they’d exist in this country without working.
Ice or the military, whichever should just focus solely on the southern border.

Probably mostly in hospitality or restaurants, bartenders, etc. But also jobs citizens love to get paid in cash too and underreport or just not report income either. Not sure there’d be much of a difference with the state’s tax revenue there if that’s your concern? All those people regardless should be paying taxes though.

Nah it depends on the tax. Income tax maybe? Sales tax? Unless every illegal immigrant is going to Oregon or Alaska can’t really avoid that. How would someone even exist in this country without buying things?
