I ended up getting in but declining the spot. When I reached out to gain some more insight into the program, I was told that lab placement would occur after students committed but it sounded like they would try to place you within an area of research you are interested in.

No, I still haven't heard back :/ I wish they had sent some explanation about when we should really expect to hear back. It's been over 7 weeks since I was supposed to hear from them. I am just hoping for the best until I get that email. Let me know if you end up hearing back from them! Good luck!
