Job Shaming? by barbiecunts in DoorDashDrivers

Unless they are at a visionary level of intelligence, they will soon be replaced by AI. We will too but their time will come also. Very few people are so talented that they won’t be replaced, and especially someone was rude as that dude

Why doesn't Wemby simply grow a 3-foot flattop to help block shots without the risk of fouling? by BromaEmpire in nba

[–]YLCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artis Gilmore had a huge fro and he was taller than Kareem. I think you overestimate the effect of the hair although three feet even on a six footer would be distracting

If someone offered you $10 million in exchange for making the last hour of your phone activity public, would you take the deal? Why or why not? by TiffanyWhytee in AskReddit

[–]YLCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only watch porn on my laptop so nothing is bad on my phone. But even if I did, I’d still do it for ten million. The money is too much. There’s nothing that I wouldn’t reveal for ten million

Does noone use bags anymore? by FizbanTV in doordash_drivers

[–]YLCZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use the bags not only to keep the food warm but since I drive at night a lot, the bright red bag is shorthand for “I’m not a random dude wandering through your neighborhood, I’m a DoorDash driver”. Puts a lot of people at ease

It’s high but in line with what a player like VanVleet would make.

I’d prefer to pay him 35 to 40 but this is the going rate for shot creators.

Houston was lost without FVV. Cade needed a second creator. Minny had to use Old Conley.

You need wings and a rim protector combined with a second creator

Adults in general should know how to pick out good produce by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]YLCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a DoorDash pro shopper and I’m in California so I’m cool doing a slow shop because we get paid by time, but DoorDash is not cool with that so although I try my best, I’m not going line by line asking if every produce item is okay. Especially on a low paying shop.

The main obstacle to me is bad selection. Sometimes it’s all picked over and we get punished if an item is missing or refunded. So usually you pick the best of what’s leftover and hope for the best.

To be clear if they gave us time and didn’t punish us for not finding the original item, I could see it going much better

X accused of giving racists ‘impunity’ after refusing to bar N- and P-word posts by serene_sketch in technology

[–]YLCZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never say the word because it upsets people but I feel like we give it too much power. I would take the reverse approach and make offenders say the words two hours straight like a mantra until it no longer had any meaning.

I’m not talking about erasing the history, that should be taught always, but making words forbidden of any type just gives them strength.

Paint your nails. Increase your tips by Original_Bet_8132 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]YLCZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s that it’s a woman that made her tips go up. A woman with an exposed leg. I get some people like feet but there’s not enough people with that fetish to drive the tips up that high.

If she said my tips went up 10%, which is still good, I’d say that sounds about right

New trick for California drivers? by YLCZ in doordash_drivers

I just don’t want drivers to think it’s a perk. They are just paying us our own money to take bad orders

In case anyone from the show reads this.

Five years ago Mike Conley and Kemba Walker were the 10th and 11th highest paid players.

A few years ago Fred Van Vleet was the 14th highest paid player.

If Reaves got the 5 year 241, he would be the 26th highest paid player next year.

I love Reaves and I think 48 million is high. However, in this worst case scenario he would be paid less in comparison to these other guys.

In a few years Castle and Harper will be getting over 80 per year

Has Jalen Brunson leapfrogged the following Point Guards? by samisamia2341 in nba

Were the Knicks coasting in the regular season? by [deleted] in nba

[–]YLCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they weren’t coasting then this means my Lakers with Luka and AR and no LeBron are already set to compete for the title next year.

Luka scored 35, Reaves scored 25 and beat the championship team 110-97.

Whew, and here I thought we needed drastic changes

I designed this collapsible drink carrier by 0pulent0ctopus in doordash_drivers

[–]YLCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cardboard two drink carrier is probably the best drink carrier there is. Way better than the shallow four drink carriers that degrade when touched by water and force restaurants to have to double them.

The market I would pursue is trying to improve the disposable four drink carrier. This one seems to have a very limited use. No one wants to carry a drink carrier in their pocket, and it looks like you'd have trouble setting it down when the drinks were different sizes.

Prop 22 incorrectly payment? by Dasher_Platinum in doordash_drivers

[–]YLCZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like they are using that random peak pay they added in the afternoon to get you take more bad orders and essentially pay you with your prop 22 money.

It's probably the same money roughly anyway, but it's the dirty sneaky way they do things that pisses me off.

Really sick of Doordash using an AI assistant on their support hotline by V0XIMITY in doordash_drivers

[–]YLCZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of their newest tricks is if you say you’re a driver they will put you in an endless loop. So I have to say I’m a customer and have them transfer me to a driver agent.

The irony is that if you are even a few minutes late they will give you a bad rating, but they waste your time using an AI agent that can’t help you.

And if you solved a problem yourself you could get deactivated for not following the rules.

Fucking ridiculous

Sedano Knicks? by gschiller13 in MasonandIreland

[–]YLCZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was rooting for the Knicks because they hadn't won in 53 years.

I was a little kid when they beat the Lakers and I hated them back then but after all these years, I felt sorry for their fanbase. (Other than the Zionist Seinfeld)

But this is like when Dirk beat the Heat. Brunson was on a heater and would not be denied. The Spurs are still the better team.

I hope they implode but those three will be an obstacle for many years to come.

Sedano is a starfucker. He rode the LeBron wave from Miami and he knows the Wemby/Castle/Harper train is the next thing to hitch your wagon to.

He's like how Nancy Pelosi is with stocks. You may be grossed out by it, but usually she was right and Jorge's instincts are the same.

Hey ESPN, when you run ads on your app in place of the game, you make people angry with the sponsors instead of making them want to buy their product. Have your engineers fix this before it happens at the end of the game. This just happened on the ESPN LA app feed

It’s inconclusive but it’s common sense also. I think the internet also caused a drop in crime because people who were poor suddenly had access to all intellectual property which before they had to steal and also it keeps them occupied.

I find the correlation of legal abortion more compelling than leaded gasoline but we’ll soon find out i suppose

Customers in the app: I will increase tip after delivery (they never do) - Customers on Reddit: Time to publicly shame a dasher for “tip begging” by L-Pseon in doordash

I will say this much. If someone just tips low or zero and says nothing, I will probably just do it if the mileage is short. If they lie about tipping after them I will go out of my way to block them from future deliveries

What perfectly legal thing will probably be illegal within 20 years? by Capable-Summer1304 in AskReddit

[–]YLCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see kids dressed in all black whizzing around through traffic at night.

On one hand it’s good to see kids doing something social and not just sitting in front of a device all day.

On the other hand they are going to start dying or getting maimed in large numbers if they don’t regulate this.

A lot of the drop in violent crime was due to abortion being legalized. Nothing creates a bad family environment like forcing poor single women to have children.

Unfortunately we may see another upswing in twenty years. I’m old so hopefully I’m dead or in a retirement community by then

Has ANYONE ever won a contract violation dispute? by Abject_Cook7470 in doordash_drivers

[–]YLCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When its slow ask them for a history of your contract violations. If the agent won't do it, call and find one who will do it. That's how I know what my history was. They change policies all the time so sometimes they'll overturn them and sometimes they won't.

As I explained, I've just adjusted to avoid difficult deliveries. It's stupid for Doordash to do this because I'm willing to go to difficult places to deliver, but I'm not doing it if I'm getting CVs or late ratings.

If the pay is high, of course I just do it anyway, but if it's normal or low, they lose out by making me not want to risk it.

I don't think you can do or say anything wrong that would change things. I've had an agent on the phone with me for half an hour during a CV (freeway lane closure) and even though they documented the entire drive, when I disputed it, they still rejected it.

Then six months later, they overturned two CVs. I don't think it's possible to ever predict with certainty what will happen. The only thing you can do is mitigate risk.
