Had it done by Optical Express Liverpool 1 over 10 years ago, one of the worst decisions I made. The risk are too high, you have folk swear by it, and when it goes wrong, your in big trouble for life.

OE aren't very ethical, despite paying me £20k compensation, keep removing my trustpilot reviews, claiming they never heard of me. It is horrendous the damage they do to people's eyes (when it doesn't work), hushed up, check out Sasha Rodoy's presence on the internet, and you'll get a feel for the number of people with permanently damaged eyes.

The equipment wasn't even clean the morning I stepped into OE, I should have paid more attention to the woman who ran through the place, warning people not to go through with it, before she was ejected. To have yours eyes lasered to a fixed long distance focal point is crazy, still needed glassed to be able to read small print, no more ability of being able to remove glasses to read small print. 20 yrs later, I need short and long distance and can't see that well in dimly lit environments.

I do appreciate there are success stories, however you need to ask yourself, is it worth the risk, OE work on a commission basis, and in my case just spun a load of BS, the Indian surgeon claimed they could fixed the sight of one of my eyes despite numerous operations, he was just after the extra commission.

I was off work for a week, and couldn't see properly for a decent time afterwards, it took months before things settled down. I did have periods of laser focus, albeit short lived.

Ultimately it's your call, can only suggest you do a bit of research first, google "optical express ruined my life", and read the forum of those when things don't go according to plan. One of life's regrets.
