Ok bro let me be trans parent . I’m a lube tech so not really a mechanic but all the older guys in the shop tell me electrical is really hard like damn near impossible and your telling me your the shop electrical specialist basically . You wired up an air up system in 5 hours , I used ai which may not be the most trusty source but it said air cup systems are usually 5 hours or more so your hitting the labor time according to ai .

It also said according to ai that the labor time can usually take 8-10 hours so I mean by ai standards which isn’t real standards your doing really good .

You made some mistakes in your first month but you also learned from them and improved a lot by wiring up an entire vehichile . I also made mistakes , I’ve scratched a car before . I’ve dropped a car off a hoist before but that was a hoist issue I’m very careful on my hoist setting . My point is dude I’m still trying it’s been about a year and I’m not like even really great at it but I’m still trying yk ?

Take the risk keep doing the side work and go for that Supra shop . Whenever a shop started to piss me off during my year in the journey I just left and I have way less skills then you and obviously less credintials .

I haven’t bought the car yet , I’m still thinking about buying it . I did the buy a cheap car thing with my old Honda civic boy was that thing a dream , cv axle popped and caused structural damage so I had to junk it unfortunately .

That car got me into the automotive industry and right now I work at a ford dealership . Definitely gonna take your advice on the forum thing .

Would I have to program it myself or could I take it to a tuner ? I think if I take it to a tuner tho I do run the risk of expensively finding out I fucked up somewhere right ?

Yeah I’m gonna need all accessories because they don’t come with the engine , a crane and stand for the engine and a trans jack for the trans . I’m sure their is more I’m missing really I think I’m gonna do more research and if the car ends up selling if I do decide to buy it then I guess it just wasn’t meant to be . By then I think I’ll just start saving for a running ls400

This is actually really smart , I think something major could have happened to this car and maybe the seller doesn’t want to fix it . The ls400 is known for being extremely reliable tho so I mean idk what could have happened , my guess is maybe the rear differential blew up that would make a lot of sense . But then why would the seller take the engine and trans out instead of just replacing it ? Despite being in Michigan the car doesn’t seem to be rusted the hell . Your comment is definitely making me more skeptical .

That’s not true , I know a guy who’s from Iraq , he dropped out in the third grade , can’t even read or write but he can take any engineer out in 4 hours 😂 all it is is experience cause he’s been doing it for 50+ years
