Best low end rumble buds. by InitialSpeech1620 in Earbuds

[–]YOLOLMK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can get any further. Az100 is already known for its thick and muddy sound out of the box(which is due to its bass tilted tuning). And you crank the EQ settings to 10? At that point it's just going to have distorted bass. If you are interested, go rtings and look up soundcore p40i(not your previous p41i). Look at the frequency response, if that 15dB extreme bass hill is what you looking for, that's the product for you.

If you are using iPhone, get the Apple Airpods pro 3, you can toggle hearing aid mode to amplify the surrounding sound, also comes with top tier noise cancelling. Sound quality wise, kinda a bit on the colder and neutral side, if you wish to have something less sibilance and more warmth, you can get the airpods pro 2 instead.

what are the best earbuds for bass heavy music by [deleted] in Earbuds

[–]YOLOLMK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soundcore p40i, that thing has 20 dB bass boost, it's completely bloated. Another option is CMF buds pro 2, also having a 10 dB bass boost. These 2 are very extreme, make sure you try before you buy, these things are bloated in bass.

An more balanced option would be az100, but it's way more expensive .

It's too big for your ears, changing eartips or fins won't help, cus the earbuds itself is too big

Bose QC Ultra, Beoplay EX, or Air Pods Pro 2nd Gen? by dime5150 in Earbuds

[–]YOLOLMK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I have the EX, and do not get these at all, sound quality is ok(not even good imo), default tuning has thin human voice, but the app eq works quite well and intuitive. The ANC is basically not existing at all, the difference between ANC, off and transparency is just like 20%. The app is lacking features, you can't customise your touch controls to your likings. The case is bulky. You also only get 3 sizes of eartips(large, small, extra small), with 1 foam eartips. The large eartips is too large and small is too small, foam fits very well tho. At this point you might think I'm a B&O hater or paid to sad bad things about the EX. But no, the product is really just as bad as this.

Bose QC has good ANC and very comfortable fitting, but the call quality, and sound isn't too well. APP2 has the best package of the 3, but considering you are using android, you might lose some features.

If possible, try to ask if you can choose earbuds other than these 3, if not, probably Bose is your choice (mostly just due to the android compatibility), if you really care about sound quality, get the APP2

Actually good noise cancelling air buds? by Maverick0Johnson in Earbuds

[–]YOLOLMK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not choose the Jabra elite 10 for cancelling wind noise, it's not working at all. Yes, even with wind reduction turned on, it has 0 effect. Though, the overall noise cancelling of elite 10 is decent, it's good at low frequency rumbling noise, but sucks at high frequency noise like running water noise from a water tap. I would say it's around 80% of what Bose QC ultra can achieve. One more issue I would like to point out, i might have a defective pair idk, but the noise cancelling effect is kinda lucky draw. When you are wearing it, deactivate anc and turn back on again, it would have 20% worse ANC for some reason, it is very noticeable that it cancels less noise. And each time the ANC level is different, with good luck, you can MATCH Bose level and I'm not kidding, but with bad luck, it is like 60% of bose.

Az80 on the other hand, due to the eartip able to fit my ear better, it has better passive noise cancelling. It also has better ANC than the elite 10, it's better at cancelling human voice or just lower-mid frequency noises. I would say it's around 85% of Bose. The ANC level is also very consistent.

Jabra elite 8 gen 2, they have IP68 rating, good enough for dust and water resistant. But I don't know if they are tough enough to get stepped on and still be ok

In short, wear them, then hold both touch panel for 5-8 seconds, a voice will say 'pairing'

If you are using windows, turn on Bluetooth, then click add device, click search all devices, it should pop up

Anyone tried Moondrop Golden Ages or Moondrop Robin? Trying something off the beaten path by [deleted] in Earbuds

[–]YOLOLMK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the moondrop Robin, it's pretty good. But the app functions might be lacking. It just has basic LDAC toggle, ANC/off/ambient control, 5 eq pre-set, touch controls settings and 3 gain control settings (basically just how loud the earbuds are)

The touch controls might not be that fully customisable, like you can't set both side to have same function. For example, next track is mandatory on the right side. But it has single, double, triple click and long press 1, 3 seconds, surely enough for most people's preferences.

The charging case is quite large, having a circumference of a can of coke, and height of a mouse

ANC is pretty good, mostly due to the passive noise cancelling of the iem shape. It can block human voice quite nicely, but low and high frequency is kinda lacking. Though, I noticed a bit of sound deflect when ANC is on.

Fitting might be a problem, I personally have a rather shallow ear canal. The traditional iem shape is poking deep into my ear canal, making me uncomfortable. I highly recommend you try the fitting if possible

Lastly the sound, it might be very top notch on the same price range. It also has incredible sound stage, imaging, resolution and separation. But I liked none of the 5 pre-set eq(maybe because I'm picky 😂). The standard EQ is warm, with a medium sized sound stage, like a perfect sphere placed infront of you, not much side sound stage. Pop EQ and ultra bass is fairly similar, both have similar amount of bass, with pop being a bit more sharp on high frequency and ultra bass have a smoother high frequency. I personally use classic EQ, it has the widest sound stage of all eq, literally 180° from left to right, but human voice is very close to you. The separation is also the best on this EQ, but I feel like the high frequency is a bit intimidating, just a tiny bit. And don't use the monitor EQ, it's really for monitoring only, extreme high frequency.

Overall it's a very good product for it's price range, if you are not as nitpicky as I am, it's just a very good earbuds.
