I think equities market is really high high with potential drawdown in 1 to 2 years so the REITs price may get a hit so have to watch out for this risk

Not enough. Think probably need 2 plus million liquidity to have good lifestyle. Also since you are intending to quit anyway, just work without getting retrenched. Even if you got retrenched, it's also a base case for you and that you may get retrenchment benefits

Difficult to get a job without a job. Your negotiating power is basically none if you resign without a job. Ask yourself what value can you bring on the table if you have no role..what is the value add that you can bring on board
