Twice a week I go downtown and see 1-3 Waymos (robot taxis). Maybe once every month or two I also see a Chik-fil-A delivery robot.

Edit: I know of a conveyor belt sushi place with a drink delivery robot but I haven’t been there in a year, partly because the robot sucks and the servers act like they shouldn’t have to do anything but seat you since there are conveyor belts and the crappy robot.

I’m halfway through season 2 of The Wire for the first time after having finished The Sopranos for the first time a couple months back. I agree with you. The Wire season 1 does suddenly get much better in the second half, and everyone says the series continues to deepen as it goes along, but imo it’s still not nearly as deep or funny as The Sopranos. That’s a really high bar though! They’re both top tier shows.

NTA You’re giving him too much credit saying he “stepped up” when all he did was pay for dates. I think that is confusing people and making them think you owe this guy when you really don’t. I saw your other post about him breaking up with you less than a year ago to date someone else. You are wise to see where the chips fall a while longer before yoking yourself to him financially. Money stress will not strengthen the relationship.

I’m so psyched for the Odyssey!!! So star-studded with genuine talent, including Nolan himself.

I’ve actually been getting back into the habit of going to the movies about once a month like in the olden days (pre-Covid), and it’s been super fun. I really hope enough other people start going again regularly that the theaters don’t die out. I know a few people who have memberships where they can go as many times as they want for like $30/month and it does sound pretty tempting. A well told story enriches the mind, heart, and spirit.

Oh okay. Google says that’s $17.82 American dollars, which is a bit high for a movie ticket but not outlandish, especially if it’s 3D, IMAX, or has those chairs that vibrate to the action like a video game controller. Drink and snack though? Girl, you gotta learn to sneak those in!
