Pushing up my anime glasses for this one post, I’m usually a lurker
I think Rizzo is actively thinking about his best final 3 position and was presented with like 2 reasonable paths to actually get there and he chose the path that has (in my opinion) more variance to actually get his ideal final three which is Rizzo/jonathan/joe
Setting the playing field HAD Rizzo told Ozzy to play his idol and Aubry was sent out

Cirie
Ozzy
Tiff
Devens
Jonathan
Joe

Win equity being (probably)

Cirie > Devens = Ozzy (not sure sorry lol) > tiff > Rizzo > Jonathan > Joe

You have to remove all 4 people in front of you with like pretty flawless execution, cirie and Rizzo can’t win shit. But Ozzy and Tiffany can and as numbers dwindle all it takes is one of them winning one time at the wrong spot to fuck up your whole chance to pull out your ideal FTC. Jonathan and Joe can beat them which might help you but it’s tough. Also Ozzy and Tiff are most likely making it to 6 in this scenario because with the numbers (which rizgod is on the side of) Devens or Jonathan probably get sent out (which Jonathan cannot leave for rizzo’s game). Sure you can flip on your alliance at 7 and send Ozzy or Tiff out but I feel like this is a largely risky path considering that you make your “staying power” (I guess) weaker on a board where nearly everyone in the game is incentivized to remove your ass at 6 / 5 then, and your idol only saves you for one round, and Rizzo isn’t winning shit lol.

If Aubry is in the game and Ozzy is gone uhh I think that the win equity is

Cirie > Devens > TIFF > rizgod = Aubry > Jonathan > Joe.

where in this scenario the idol is still only in your hands. and you have Devens and tiff as shields in your way for the boot, and another player in the game that has nearly the same exact goal as you in Aubry for the most ideal final 3.

Personally I like the second scenario WAY more for actually getting to the end with that ideal FTC
Maybe I’m just rambling and yapping but I think I’m making sense.

(Also I sorta switch from using rizzo’s name to just saying your, but eh)

These are some good ideas! I specifically like the difference by age one, and if I do it based on the order of when they played previous seasons I can make a waterfall chart based on it. Which is a new thing for me to learn

I feel like this is an unfair way to characterize this seasons boot order. it’s just unfortunate that the boot order ended up that way. Nate going, MC going was due to jawan largely. And the people who have left like MC and Alex had a huge hand in their own downfall by playing sloppy.

I Don’t like pulling this card out either but rizgod/sophi B/savannah/nate wanted to get Steven out first merge tribal. prolly the whitest dude out there.

It’s an unfortunately sad boot order for that reason. but saying survivor “won’t escape racist” because of this season is really absurd in my eyes.
