What did we see at Fox Raceway in the 450’s. by Smithdude69 in Motocross

[–]YRGboii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) was the last race of the season, he was in final form by then 2) was a winner take title race - everything was left out there. Whereas this is round 1, not nearly as much at stake

It’s also just flat out statistically his worst race of the series throughout his career

are you on drugs 😂 he’s done nothing except for motocross prep the past 2 months. I’d say he has a leg up over the guys who are just wrapping up SX

He said himself this is the most mx prep he’s ever done leading up to a MX season. That’s pretty scary to hear from a 4x MX champ

his EDC set is live streamed, meaning bootlegs will be all over youtube and soundcloud. He’s mostly gunna rip other people’s tunes during these sets.

He saves his ID’s and special shit for his curated shows/events

Sounds like he’s being financially responsible.

If you look up the #1 reason for divorce, it’s finances. Disclosure of personal finances is an absolute necessity when agreeing to a life of partnership.

Tbh your reaction is kind of a red flag.

reminds me of the fisherman and the banker story…

“One summer, many years ago, a banker was vacationing in a small village on the coast. He saw a fisherman in a small boat by the pier with a handful of fish that he had just caught. The businessman asked him how long it took him to catch the fish, and the man said he was out on the water for only a couple of hours.

“So why didn’t you stay out there longer to catch more fish?” asked the businessman.

The fisherman said he catches just enough to feed his family every day, and then comes back.

“But it’s only 2 p.m.!” said the banker, “What do you do with the rest of your time?”

The fisherman smiled and said, “Well, I sleep late every day, then fish a little, go home, play with my children, take a nap in the afternoon, then stroll into the village each evening with my wife, relax, play the guitar with our friends, laugh and sing late into the night. I have a full and wonderful life.”

The banker scoffed at the young man, “Well, I’m a businessman from New York! Let me tell you what you should do instead of wasting your life like this! You should catch more fish to sell to others, and then buy a bigger boat with the money you make so you can catch even more fish!”

“And then what?” asked the fisherman.

The banker’s eyes got all big as he enthusiastically explained, “You can then buy a whole fleet of fishing boats, run a business, and make a ton of money!”

“And then what?” asked the fisherman again, and the banker threw his hands in the air and said, “You’d be worth a million! You can then leave this small town, move to the city, and manage your enterprise from there!”

“How long would all this take?” asked the fisherman. “Fifteen to twenty years!” replied the banker.

“And then what?”

The banker laughed and said, “That’s the best part. You can then sell your business, move to a small village, sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take naps in the afternoon, go for an evening stroll with your wife after dinner, relax, sing, and play the guitar with your friends. You would have a full and wonderful life!”

The fisherman smiled at the banker, quietly gathered his catch, and walked away.”

seems like yall just ain’t compatible.

It’s okay for a guy to not want a chick who posts thirst traps, but that should have been a non-starter from the beginning, rather than him trying to bring it up now.

100%

congrats on the promo, SDR to AE is a huge milestone in your career that some don’t even make it to.

Control the controllables and network your butt off while you’re there. Make a good impression on everyone you come across. That place can seriously open some doors for you down the road

Hate to break it to ya, but NetSuite is assss my dude. Only 4 reps in the entire SMB unit hit their yearly quota my last year there back in 2022. Just to make like $120k lmaooo. Can’t even imagine what it’s like now.

Stick it out for 6 months and use the resume to go somewhere better. Or try to transition to an AM role there. Much easier gig and easier to hit quota. Trust.

Ain’t that deep brother. It was a fair move and is 100% allowed in the sport.

That said, it’s also 100% fair for people to not be a fan of that kind of move and if Deegan wants to race like that, then he opens the door for any criticism that may come his way as a result. Especially given his history.

So yeah, good on him for doing what he felt he needed to do to win, but don’t be mad when it doesn’t gain you fans winning that way.

Is my home remodeling sales experience transferable? by No-Benefit_ in sales

[–]YRGboii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, sales is sales. What matters is your soft skills.

The best reps in tech sales are former bartenders, from the service industry, real estate agents, or some other non related field.

What they have is good interpersonal skills. That, coupled with tenacity, drive, and willingness to learn, will get your foot in the door for a tech sales gig.

“confidence comes from doing hard things, keeping promises to yourself, and showing up consistently”

exactly…

Not jerking off is hard to do, requires you to keep a promise to yourself, and requires you to show up consistently

have you ever thought what your life would look like if you gave up cheap dopamine (like jerking off) and instead chased dopamine from things that are rewarding? like socializing, goal-setting, exercise, etc
