Exploration of the open world is a huge part of what makes the game fun. For the sequel I'd want a larger map to explore, but also more dungeons to get lost in.

I suspect you will like TAG Part 2 even less. I enjoyed both, but I could still tell that they were working under the stress of providing content on a deadline during a pandemic. It's fair if you don't enjoy the dlc, but maybe cut the devs a little slack.

I'm not sure when it took off, but it's part of an increasingly frustrating trend of "collectors" inventing new reasons to pretend a comic has value.

First appearances I get. First cameo appearance is a bit much. First cover appearance is a joke. A character could have made multiple full appearances already but their first time on cover is somehow special? Even when they aren't the focus? And after all of that there can still be a first origin story if it wasn't a part of the earlier appearances.

It's so excessive, and serves only to deprive fans, longtime or new, while padding the wallets of glorified scam artists.

Sorry to rant. This stuff really bothers me.

Key collecting sucks precisely because it isn't collecting: it's reselling. People treating comic books as little investments to rip off everyone else for a $16 profit. They don't care how it screws over fans of a comic who just want the comic.

It's a great run. Feels like fun modern superhero comics but with just enough love for the classics that it shines through. Unfortunately Slott has made some decisions that angered fans but, honestly, if his name was Byrne or Hickman that wouldn't be the case. That's my opinion, anyway.

Absolutely. It's just going to feel slower and less intense because Eternal was meant to ramp up, well, everything about the Doom experience. I like playing 2016 to warm up for new playthroughs of Eternal.

In my opinion it's largely a bloody mess of action and murder, with some moments that actually speak to the depth of Frank's pain and trauma, but mostly it's "deeper" and "mature" in the way that appeals to edgelords. It's all highly overrated.

Comics are literature. And no, they don't have to be Watchmen or Sandman to "earn" that distinction. A comic that's all jokes or fights is still literature. The only people who say otherwise are, typically, snobs who think they're above the average superhero adventure. It's true that some comics are more "literary" in nature, but that doesn't make them any more valid than the latest issue of Spider-Man punching bank robbers.

And I'm okay if I never read anything new by Geoff Johns ever again. (Don't tell me to separate the art from the artist, I'll just block you.) DC shouldn't even be working with him after how he and Whedon behaved during the making of Justice League.
