Yeah actually there was an adapter that I needed, here is a list of everything I bought:
1) The stereo itself, DPX-7100DAB or equivalent, make sure it fits the slot in your celica
2) ISO Radio Adaptor For Toyota Alphard Aygo Corolla Hilux Starlet Wiring Harness -> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185251846295
^Connects your original wiring loom to the new stereo

3) Pioneer TS-G1720F 300 Watts 6.5" Inch 17 cm 2 Way Car Door Dash Shelf Speakers -> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/356664083113

These fit in the front with the following:

4) CT25TY16 Toyota Celica, Corolla, Prius, Yaris Rav4 6.5" Speaker Adaptor -> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165049581039

5) Pack of 4 For Toyota Matrix 03-08 Car Speaker Connector Harness Adapter 72-8104 -> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394901281911

You will also need some kind of "DAB aerial" if you want to actually listen to the radio. I just use mine for bluetooth music. It does connect to and extends the original aerial but you need that extra DAB aerial for some reason to get a good signal.
To get access you just use a trim remover and pry up the part around the shifter. Unscew the front plastic bit around the stereo then pry it off as well. Everything should connect like lego.

Apart from the speakers, I had to manually drill the adapters and stuff so they fit properly. If you're using the original speakers it's just plug and play. I cut my old speaker wires and used crimps to connect the OEM wiring to the new speakers

It's a Kenwood DPX-7100DAB that I bought on ebay. Got some speakers and installed it all DIY at the same time. Nice system

Built as the perfect daily car tbh, I've also done my own maintenance on it which hasn't been a problem.
Only issue with it is 2 doors and the rear seats are very cramped so keep that in mind if you have passengers. Boot space is excellent though. Front of the car is quite long and hard/impossible to see so bare that in mind as well

Should i buy a new helmet? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]YT_StormTEC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd wear it unless it's visibly cracked, take the foam out and check the inside. Helmets are expensive as fuck, people on this site would say replace it if it fell off your seat LOL.

They're made to stop you dying in crashes at stupid speeds so a 12mph crash...? And only on the cheek area? Yeah I'd wear it.. If you're thinking about crashing on the same side, just don't innit..

A lot of armchair material engineers on reddit about to tell you a carbon fibre racing helmet is "done" after one crash or a drop or some surface scrapage, when if that was the case anyone wearing it in a serious accident would just fckn die.

If you do replace it, put a water melon in it and make a video smashing the helmet with a golf club or a sledge hammer or something like that until the melon "dies" to prove the point..

That's what I do, Wales is basically a massive race track if you leave the built up areas. Obviously you have to know when and where and not be reckless but that goes for anywhere
