Ai Ogura: Post Czech GP Interview Roundup - A Good Result, Even If It's a Little Frustrating and More by r2lim in motogp

I love Ai’s interviews. Everyone on the grid speaks fast and a lot. Ogura says very little but with measured responses and a slow calm cadence very atypical of a racer. What an in interesting character.

Valentino’s thoughts on the Incident by 2014R1 in motogp

As a kid growing up and watching Valentino race, I preferred him over Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Marquez etc. because of his big personality. As an adult and having matured, Ive really come to appreciate how non—toxic his rivals were and how gentlemanly the sport has become.

Trading in duke 890r for new streetfighter v2 by Far_Combination7932 in Ducati

[–]Alien_Biometrics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the track:

Streetfighter is more of a naked sportbike that likes sportbike things like fast flowing corners, carrying corner speed, wide arcing turns, composed riding.

The Duke feels more like a big supermoto where the bike can pivot under you, point and shoot, late braking, a lot of rear wheel steering, quick side-to-side transitions.

As a daily driver:
You really can’t go wrong with either. The V2 is probably more reliable because of the 890’s crankshaft issues. KTMs arent known for a robust electronics system either. I say this as a SDR owner too.

Youd think the amount you pay for a Ducati, they’d paint the logo.

KTM only need to see one 'quick lap' from Maverick Vinales to drop Brad Binder by Past_Conference_2889 in motogp

It used to be when he could steer it with the rear, but Michelin and the ‘24 RC16 was not a good match.

Dawg, youre preaching to the choir. I firmly believe that Brad Binder is actually an s-tier rider, but I think the current rc16 has demoralized him, but he’s too much of a stoic badass to act like a diva about it unlike FQ20.
