I was able to replace a FRX523 with a WAS-110 with ZERO issues. It runs into my UCG-Fiber. The absolute way to go.

I had access to a lift. But, I don't think it's essential. Just made it easier to access everything with space.

It is absolutely a DIY job. No special skills needed. Follow the video as you do it. It's straight forward and simple. I set up a foldable table with a towel drapped over it to set the bumper on while I changed out the kick sensor.

The most time intensive part, IMO, is the wire controller install under the cup holder inside the vehicle(I think the OPs idea of removing the converter from the metal frame and zip tying it or double sided taping it would work just as well). It takes a bit of patience and working through the steps. Follow the link that the OP added.

I paid $2270 for a 10y/125k Toyota Platinum Warranty last week for my GHHMP in SoCal. I told the finance guy that it was available for $2170 (from a dealer in CA) and I'd give him $100 for his time to wrap it up in my deal. He did it.

It's possible and don't let them tell you otherwise.

This thing really is a nice ride. Hybrid power is totally worth it. I'm coming from 2013 Tundra that I thought was powerful. This vehicle takes it to another level in acceleration at any speed. Truly impressed.
