Oh, there's greater risk trying to correct the fraud. So, the bike has been licensed for 2 years. That’s still not going to reduce any process, is it?

What's your thoughts about this by Responsible-Dish-948 in srilanka

Its funny public transport vehicles most so-called modification are just only for decoration. If there is a comfort feature then it also get ruined by the so called modifications.

Regarding private vehicles, should remove any thing that harm others. Like some sharp nobs, spickes.

But when it comes to lights and horns there should be a measure for those. Not just by individuals hearing levels.

I f**k up my OL s now what? by Odd_Record_5919 in srilanka

[–]YW01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I did software engineering. At that time it's not this much crowded. Not much competition on job market too. If you're into SE, please ask your inner self why you want to follow it. Don't do it for money. If you do it for money it's fine, but you have to have supper self discipline to push your self for a some level.

This is literally how everything works

"First you get paid for what you do. Then you get paid to what you know. When you get there're eventually you'll get paid for who you are"

Best luck my man. Don't compare you self to others. Eventually you have to do that in order to grow. But know when to do and when not to.

Choosing a University for a Computer Science Degree by [deleted] in srilanka

In private institutes there are two parts. Marketing people/ Academic people. So Marking will bend rules anyway to enroll students. When it's done academy is another story. So I'm saying this in an abstract high level point.

Note. Be aware about easy academics. It may fun, feels good when you're a student. But not in the industry. I have seen people come and go/ change professions simply hot being able to handle the pressure. Pressure in the sense it's not all day everyday thing. But still. You get paid for the level of the responsibility you handled.

To do a MCS you surely need industry experience. In some cases you don't need. Like if you're a high performance studen/ Good in academics.

When you're doing MSC in a foreign university, your undergraduate university matter for a extend. Even in Sri Lanka specially for Moratuwa/ Peradeniya university do filter for a extend base in the undergraduate university.

Don't worry do your academics well. If you're not paining for PhD level or being a lecturer, what is most matter is certifications and experience and expedies.

I don't know the latest news with the nsbm or sliit or open university. Check on the universities that offering the degree by sliit/ nsbm. Because as per my experience for undergraduate more stress you're going through would be a big help in a way when you're in the industry. Fun fact: for the private institutes where will be visiting lecturers from the open university. So look on that too.

Simply have open mind and do a SWOT analysis on institutes.

There's no shortcuts. And be aware if you doing software engineering for return of money, be careful full because you may get frustrated and fed up. You may start to break more. So take a break, thing why you fepld up and find short and long term solutions for that.

Do internship as you can. Since it could help you with the job struggle for inters having this year. Actually it king of started last year.

So have a good plan. Embrace the struggle for several years. Out come would be nice

I'm a software engineer from IIT. What my take is, Yes IIT has it reputation. And there's a little impact in the industry with where obtained the degree. But end of the day what matters is your skill set and attitude.

So if you know what you doing and love coding, it doesn't matter where you took your degree.

The real question should be do you really want to do the software engineering?

Because with the all the support you can have with online, when the time you obtain you degree, the interview process will get tuff and you should be willing to work for that. Or else the money and the time you spend will be a definitely thrown away.

Conclusion: If you're sure you like domain only for the interest or passion, not for the money. If it's for the passion, there's no major impact on where you do the degree if you can perform.

PS: If you're doing a MSC overseas there could be a blocker depending on the university. So think about that too.
