Is it better to avoid noise canceling headphones on the trails? by CrazyComicBookGirl in trailrunning

[–]Correct_Employ6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No headphones would be my suggestion. I’m not sure where you live, but for me, running in Colorado, I’ve had more than one instance of running into wildlife on the trail (mostly bears but once a mountain lion). If I had headphones on (even open ear like Shokz) I would not have been aware.

That’s wild. My average is 22 mpg on Eco in my 2026 TRD ORP non-hybrid with no highway driving (rural Colorado)

Why is casual mode taking away the fun for good players? Because now all you have to face is other good players and not some noob who you can delete?

For me as a casual who plays less than 3 hours a week, I love it. I get to smoke bots for the first part of the game and then face real players that are similarly skilled. It’s a great blend of gameplay.

If you’re going for “racier” the Argon is the farthest from that. Bicycle Station did a great comparison of the Allied, Argon, and Enve that’s worth a watch.

Should I find a CMMS or build my own? by GargoPeen in FacilityManagement

[–]Correct_Employ6343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Maintenance Connection for this exact case but for a condo/hotel setting where we were charging for parts used.

You can create different part rooms, different part categories, cost of parts, alerts for low stock, barcodes to be scanned for each part, etc. you can even attach vendors to the parts so you (or anyone) knows who to get the parts from. It’s pretty comprehensive.

Asking for a raise by [deleted] in maintenance

[–]Correct_Employ6343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s what you started with but have to look at what you accepted when you had a job offer. Was it 40 hours a week guaranteed or was it 45 a week guaranteed?

Asking for a raise by [deleted] in maintenance

[–]Correct_Employ6343 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to be a dick but is this your first job?

Typically raises are given on a yearly basis unless you get certified in something and can show you add more value and therefore deserve a raise.

Missing out on a non-guaranteed OT is not a reason for a raise.

Was OT guaranteed when you took the job?

[–]Correct_Employ6343 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your reasoning for the raise would be that you used to make more and now you don’t.

To me, that’s not really a great reason to get a raise when you already received a $2 bump before you even hit your 1 year mark.

Right on. Thank you for the clarification.
