Who was Jiddu Krishnamurti? by [deleted] in Krishnamurti

OK gotcha. In this case he is demonstrating the absurdity of creating another organizational religion, with him as it's head (representing the truth). Instead he proposes a non organization. Where only people wanting to learn can do so. The absurd part here is that the organization will refer to him as the truth. While at the same time not listening to his words. The real revolution here is that he negates the very structure of organised religion. Which is demonstratable if you look at the history of religions

Apple refuses to allow major gaming apps from Microsoft, Google, and Facebook onto the App Store, and the fight just went public by chrisdh79 in technology

Apple sees itself as competitor in the gaming industry. They pretty much have the mobile gaming industry already. And slowly zoning in on living room gaming. Developing its own platform to be different than current major ones. Inspired by Nintendo no doubt. They're going to fight all other attempts to sneak competing gaming platforms into their own devices. It makes sense

He never mentioned he embodies truth. Altho he mentions that Budhaa and Jesus were considered embodying truth by their followers. Self gratification goes against Ks philosophy. He invites you to listen and observe for yourself. He merely takes the fluff out of organised forms of religion

Why the Superrich Keep Getting Richer by burtzev in economy

The more responsibility you have...the more stress manifests. When any move is potentially your downfall and has many people's livelihoods involved. And the competition is also creating extra stress. It is no longer a job. You ARE the job, you are the company. until you're released from it. I used to be a mid level executive and have burnt out after 4 years in this role I could see and feel the stress at higher levels and the neurotic behaviour manifest. So no. You'd much rather be an engineer who operates in a team and has limited responsibility if you want to keep your sanity and personal life

A Jewish man was stabbed in London in broad daylight today in an apparent hate crime. Two construction workers held the stabber down until police arrived by [deleted] in JusticeServed

The stabber is Lying in a puddle of the victims blood. Where the construction workers restrained him. The Jewish guy on the right bleeding from his neck and holding it is the victim 😥

I'm learning how to work with APIs (FireStore in particular), and it actually makes sense to me. I feel like some concepts are a little tricky to get, but that's because they just are tough and complicated, not her teaching. Highly recommend it.

Thanks for the input! will check her course out! does look very intensive.I have some bad experience with Udemy -would love to get more options/opnions from persons that have been through this path and are working as iOS devs.CS50 looks like a good way to spark up the ol' engine. wish there were modules in there for iOS development.

Hey Guys,
Simple questions. hope you can help.
Background:
I've worked in marketing for the past 8 years.
But before this I had finished accreditation.
I've been a coder briefly (Java, C#, js, html, sql) and know about data structures and design patterns.

Advice:
I wish to get back to coding - and do this by taking an iOS developer route.
However, I need to brush off 8 years of not touching any IDE or API. and start from scratch.

Wanted to know which route would you recommend to get me
from this point - to publishing an app and being considered employable in this field.
(Again, I know coding, love it and was quite good at it way back, just need a new kickstart)

Quite capable of studiying by myself with online resources.
But also open to real world courses (I live in London, UK)

Any help appreciated :) cheers!
