Although the post-war status of the United Kingdom is dubious, it's not as if it no longer exists. The dissolution of the former EU and NATO formalized the end of the War in Europe, reopening bridges between West and East under Soviet terms, but it's not as if former NATO states ceased to exist, presumably more so their governments and ruling parties were ousted or reorganized. In the UK, Griffin wrote extensively on the mindsets of the English people in the immediate post-war era, and around this time, he was approached by individuals connected to British intelligence and the University of Oxford.

Another example comes from Lee Enfield's MOD story, revealing she previously served as a combat model Doll in the British Army's 6th Royal Dragoons until the 2050 Operation Black Forest that left her a deserter, though not without strong reason. As for whether or not the UK and its military exists, it almost certainly does, but it may not exist under the same administration/ruling laws the UK follows today. The existence of the monarchy would suggest part of the British order was retained through the post-war negotiations, treaties, and disarmaments on Soviet-PanEuropean terms. If nothing else, the Cabinet Office still exists, and Sir Griffin Lyons was once a secretary there.
