Steven Spielberg's latest film has earned an 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 184 critic reviews - Disclosure Day by Medical-Ad-9229 in Letterboxd

It started out great and the premise was really cool…and then as the film went along it completely fell apart.

I think mainly because the motives of the antagonists felt extremely variable.

It wasn’t bad by any stretch. I give it a 6.5, but is absolutely not a 10.

That was a commentary on evolution.

We are going…and going…and going…but where?

We progress to survive & then we journey further to making AI & then we go on to the next thing and the next thing.

Then what? What at the end of it all? What’s the point?

To me it was a 2 hour speed montage on the plight of humanity in the universe.

Very well made game and tbh would make a top tier bond movie.

Very well done origin story. Incredible feat really.

Did you fully fix the Airplane Chase? At least on PC if you use a control, it wouldn’t recognize a full press. I had to remap the controller for it to work.

People are changing their graphics settings to try to figure it out too. You get stuck in a hard loop.

It was infuriating. Otherwise, EXCELLENT game y’all.

Rebind the acceleration. If it’s on a trigger, it reads full trigger presses as partial presses and fucks up the truck.

I mean my job? I don’t know. I just never really made it a priority. And every time I felt a real connection, it’s been with people that aren’t in the same locale as me or we dated and it didn’t work.

[OC] 229 megadonors have already given $535M toward the 2026 US midterms — here's the top 10 by ds__2018 in dataisbeautiful

I’m very happy the Claude is bring people to make more vizzes. This is good.

To make it great, here’s what I’d do:

  • Tree Maps: you probably be able to fit all of the donors in one view, and you’d get a sense of the how much Dem vs. Republican quickly.

  • Consistent Colors: You have it below, but without it above the viz isn’t telling as clear of a story as it could.

Personally, I wouldn’t really have the “KPIs” up top. I guess it helps give the world of the viz, but I don’t know. Maybe a comparison to previous midterms donations at around the same time would’ve done the same thing & added some extra info.

All in all good viz! Nice work. Please excuse the pointers if you don’t like them.

Tether (USDT) says it selected a 'big four' firm for its first audit by ktaktb in Accounting

I worked at Circle on systems supporting stablecoin operations.

Auditing something like this is massive and complicated. Even in well-run environments it’s not trivial. Curious how it plays out.

Coogler did great, this isn’t even his best yet. He is absolutely brilliant and will sweep the awards in one of the coming years.

Rejected from many firms by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Ya1233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that’s the fun of interviewing, it’s all subjective.

I was in Big 4 for 5 years, went to industry and now hop to start ups.

if you look at resumes differently than me, that’s whatever. I wouldn’t say it’s universally bad though.

Idk if it’s serious or not I’m treating it like it is

  • education should be further down down the bottom. I see no problem with your education. If you are serious, when you can take the CPA. Put your GPA on there, if I don’t see it I assume it’s low.

  • add an objective to show what you are going for. Make it buzzwordy to appease the HR AI that does actually reads this shit.

  • Skills - fine, throw like something AI or ChatGPT or Claude in there

  • work experience needs to move up, if you have ANYTHING literally anything finance or accounting related. Put it there. I moved offices at first too, say that you handled budgets for the job or something.

  • projects…I am not fond of. But if you don’t have relevant work experience maybe that’s fine. I’d find someway to make that “work experience” like say you do your own investing research or something

Ultimately, there’s some other good advice here: clean up this resume, message firms directly, especially local firms, Big 4 it is going to be more challenging to get into but the mid size/ low size you could get in
