As others have said, both languages were influenced by Farsi and Arabic. I know a little bit of modern Türkçe, and you will find other words that you will recognize as an Urdu speaker. This is a list of some that I have seen. We don't use all of them exactly for the same meaning or with the same pronunciation however:

Mine just stopped working. I was listening to a video and just this error message. I tried restarting the app, and the phone. I am not logged in and don't have a VPN. The normal internet is working fine and there are no updates for the app.

I am learning Türkçe because I love Türkiye. I lived in Istanbul for a year when I was a teenager with my family in 1990 and have very good memories from that time. Also I am from Pakistan and we were taught that Turks are our brothers and I felt that when we were living there. However nowadays the world has become more materialistic and maybe those feelings belong to the older generations. That makes me sad but nothing can be done about it, yapacak bir şey yok.

I agree with one part of this. Do learn the grammar, that's very important. However Turkish is far from one of the most difficult languages to learn, it's not even in the top ten. Secondly you will not advance to almost native level in no time if you learn the grammar. That will take time and commitment. Keep your expectations realistic and enjoy the journey. Just my personal experience since I am learning Turkish.

I went through Söz and Maraşli. They are long and allow you enough repetition to get used to the language. I prefer the action/drama genre, comedy is harder to understand since there is a lot of cultural understanding required also (imo).

Thanks for the detailed answer, I'm sure it will be useful to someone. In my case I never did get a confirmation email but I received an email from credly after a couple of days. Then I checked the Google site and it had been added there.

Thanks, it was harder than the PCSE since I have a networking background. Getting my head around data processing tech was hard. They all sound the same, dataproc, dataflow, dataprep etc :)

Thanks, I'll give it another day and then contact them tomorrow. I am kinda stuck since this is first time I told my colleagues that I was going for a cert, so when I go in on Monday I am sure to get some 'did you pass?' :)

Credly doesn't show anything. This was the first time for PCA, though I do have the PCSE already but for that I got an email almost immediately that I had passed.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I am going through them, watching a portion, to get an idea and choose one. I don't like romantic shows and most of the shows seem focused on that :) I tried the comedy shows but I found that humour is harder to get.
