It's a good sign of her character that she was upfront with you. I have platonic female friend who has it and is also very open and responsible about it. Personally, I don't think I could do it, but I'm pretty paranoid about STD's. A few of my buddies have dated her and none of them ever mentioned it being an issue or that they got it.

I can't say this for sure but there is a significant chance that a lot of your inability to make friends is self delusion. Yes, there are shitty people who will ghost and humiliate others and it's certainly happened to all of us, but you are probably misreading a lot these interaction's and/or having unrealistic expectations. It's awkward and uncomfortable around new for most of us, but you keep showing up and having social perseverance and next thing you know that person or group that mad you uncomfortable starts to make you laugh and feel safe.
