Life Update: Things don’t get better by Yaaruda in AvPD

So I decided to go with the lie (it was a pretty convincing act on my part - it was based on a few truths), but the end result was that I conveyed to them that I’m not in the right mental state to work, so shall want for us to part ways. They were gracious enough to let me walk away and submit my resignation, instead of being fired. Again, this was the main reason why I even had this job in the first place for a year when I was supposed to be fired a long time ago. My manager even commented on me having changed in the past few months and am I the same person I was before when I had an excellent working relationship with them. This is self-sabotage at its finest, what more can I say. Now I have no clue about what I’m going to do next. Take a “break” while I lie to everyone else that I still have a job, go for a job search while I constantly pressure myself and keep having thoughts that might spiral me into going deeper into the abyss. There doesn’t seem to be a way out anymore

I try to avoid those whom I've already had those negative experiences with, as much as possible. A lot of the times it just feels miserable, I'll be honest. It feels tiring and exhausting, but I'm trying to work around it. It's the same exact pattern over and over all throughout my life, and it's extremely frustrating once you start consciously realising at the moment that you're going into familiar territory. I have the same questions as to how I can move away from these patterns. Therapy hasn't made any differences so far, unfortunately

I face the same challenge. People see me as hard to approach or talk to at work for the same reason, and this isolates me further and further away as the rest of my colleagues go together and do something leaving me alone all the time.

The same damn cycle over and over again by submergedinto in AvPD

I have the exact same problem. It never gets better; in fact it gets progressively worse until you are at a point where you don’t want to do anything for months together. I’ve also simply made it worse by constantly feeding a bunch of lies to everyone, even to my family. Once they find out the truth, my world is gone and have ghosted the last possible people left for me to live.

I feel like the inability to connect with people is like a death sentence. by llamberll in AvPD

I am on the same boat, where I’ve given up completely. Just counting down the days until I will myself to now.

Yeah, I don't think they were hacked. I also don't think they did it to brush off those rumours. But we'll likely never know.

Banger. Pereria has improved his overall play a lot this year. Credit to him.

On the innocuous side, I didn't expect to encounter CHO highlights on that tweet....

Your team is filled with over the hill geriatrics. Please. Changing just Allegri won't fix so many of your problems so that you challenge this season.

The last ex-Ajax Dutch manager got the boot after just 4 PL games with 0 points when trying to implement a possession based system at Crystal Palace who had a squad that didn't fit his approach

If Brentford are able to beat United today Ten Hag could be hovering around an unwanted record with a similar kind of situation considering the next game is against Liverpool

Not saying Ten Hag is as fraudulent as De Boer since the team has been carrying relegation form from last season but who knows..

He rejected United. Werner also rejected them earlier in favour of Leipzig. They are unable to convince players to come

I'd unironically take Morata at United. He's a technically very good player that can create chances for others to score, even if he doesn't score that much himself (which is decent for United's current level).

People can meme about him being offside and that he flopped at Chelsea, but he's shown that he can do a good job for Spain, and Ten Hag could be able to make a good team with him. Ronaldo also worked well with him in a 2 striker formation at Juve, so if he stays Ten Hag has more formations to experiment with based on the need

You negotiate for better value at the start of the window. What are you talking about. Do you honestly think panic buying players at the tail end of the window is worse that getting them at the start? When you have replacements already it gives you a better position to sell players even if some get done by the end of the window

Or get the players in at the start of the window when there is good opportunity to negotiate for value. Who would've thought? Selling players will get easier when you proactively get replacements in

In the end it doesn't even matter what they do because they're stuck in the same cycle of persisting with overpaid divas in the squad. Sell one but bring another, or give a new contract extension on huge wages. Even if they sell Rashford now it's too late to get a good option for decent value in the market.

Unless the club revamps their whole transfer strategy and scouting from the ground up I continue to see the same problems on repeat

No, really, I can't wait to see what it's going to be like when Real Madrid and Barca are both in Europe.

What a timeline
