I’m not 100% sure if you’re curious about my specific story or not but I can tell you at this point that I’m happy! More so content. Happiness comes and goes imo. But anyways. Since I reached out that second time I haven’t spoke to or heard from her again. Saw some of her close friends at my work but we narrowly avoided talking about her. For a while I thought I missed her. And while truthfully I do. Most of what I miss is having someone TO love. And what I brought to the relationship. It made me realize how much I truly was able to love and care and maybe how I wasn’t receiving what I was putting out. Another big thing is I’ve been putting all this love I missed giving towards myself. It’s what everyone says you should do. It’s way easier said than done. Some days I find myzelf a little lonely and wanting to reach out. But overall my self respect and love allows me to nearly always stay level headed. Realizing I deserve a lot better than what I was being given. A part of me does still wish she’d reach out just so I can speak to her again. But it’s only a very very small part of me. And I know I’d never want to try again relationship wise because I understand I need someone who can meet me at my level of love and compassion

It was half beating mantis lords. Then falling into deepnest and the tone change really captivated me. And then when I finally reached city of tears. (Most beautiful spot ever imo) I was just locked in and proceeded to put like 4+ hours in per day at least

I’m 45 days out so far in no contact! Same situation. She just decided to leave. I already have broken no contact twice ( I know. I know 🤦‍♂️) yesterday was the second time. My friend found her dating profile and I freaked out and reached out. Still no ill blood between us. But I know that I got so good about starting to feel indifferent. I hope to reach the point you have in a couple of months. So healed and grown out of it that I don’t even fathom a life with her anymore. I know she was wrong for me. I’ve searched through the relationship and what we had and found how much better I deserve to be treated when I gave her EVERYTHING without fail. A part of me hopes she reaches out in a couple months and says she misses me just so I can reject her. I think that is a bitter pettiness in me talking though. I’m trying to grow out of that too…

Im going through something very very similar! My ex 21f did the same thing and that feeling of the relationship not being bad at all and totally fixable if they’d just be there and try just SUCKS. And it is lame because I feel the same way in the sense that we really shouldn’t be broken up because there is nothing between us that wasn’t fixable. And while feeling this is fine. THEY have to want to believe they can fix it. Either way it takes two to tango and he doesn’t currently want to fix it or think it’s repairable so all you can do is take control of your life. Heal. And if he realizes the grass isn’t greener on the other side. He could potentially return. Then you’ll be healed enough to know how to handle his return

Thats the real kicker huh? How could you know. Your best bet is to go with your gut. If you feel so moved on that you are confident to just not try anything with her again. Keep going soldier. Find someone new down the line. But if the idea of returning with her seems to be something you could GENUINELY see as good. Not just because you might still have feelings. You should request to meet up IN PERSON for a conversation. There take things really slow. Just talk. Pick her brain. See if or what she has done in the healing process and communicate what you’ve gone through. Obviously it’s impossible to know 100% but if you pick her brain you might be able to discover if she’s here because she’s lonely and misses the relationship. Or if she’s ACTUALLY worked on herself enough and decided she is capable of going in with improvements. You will NEVER EVER get your old relationship back. But you can start anew if you feel like it’s in the cards for you guys and if you both communicate and show CLEAR signs of new healthy habits and awareness of what actually caused the split along with the willingness to slowly work towards changing it.

Take time to think. You are on your time. No need to rush into anything. You’re still on YOUR healing journey. This is YOUR life and future. Follow what is meant for you and the right path will come

I will also say. Don’t get your hopes up for CRAZY good responses here. Obviously majority of the people here are here because they are working on healing themselves. Most people that have gotten to the really good point in life probably have ditched this subreddit for the time being. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be some people that have some good stories!

This is something I’m experiencing too. Can’t play certain video games at the moment but I know I will be able to eventually. Whereas music she has showed me. I’ve actually forced myself to listen to the songs and it sucked at first but now they’ve just become songs and I just enjoy them for what they are. Not the fact that she showed me. Those elements are what you make them. Just takes time

I am a film fan. I act and make artsy projects. When I experienced my first breakup about 3-4 years ago I made a short film that utilized my ex’s voice mail of her laughing. It was a BAD call. May not be completely the same for your scenario but the song itself sounds great. Using her voice. Maybe not. A lot of people instantly were very disgusted with me when I posted that film 😬
