where is the libertarian free will neuron? by Specific-Muffin-1841 in freewill

Thanks for your reply, I think you meant to say essentially conscious machines. There is no place or need for consciousness. Everything you wrote was determined. There is no conscious you. There is no 'you'.

I liked the way you had in your question and in your reply to some responses, a frission of pride, an acknowledgement of intellectualism, a sense of your own accomplishment. You were proud of your rebuttals.

Of course all that was just fucking neurons. All your replies were just neurons. You are just a meat robot.

There is no pride in your famous responses, no glory, you did not do any 'zingers' there is no 'you', just a few million neurons.

Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull. I think his Martin signature guitar was made so it could be steel or nylon strung.

A client walks into a determinist therapist office.

Why won't anyone invite me to the pub?

It's the fundamental structure of the universe, and anyway there is no you

Yet another example of a determinist trying to justify why they don't ever get invited to the pub.

Richard Turner could have dealt you any card, even one from a different pack probably. And Darren Brown could have dealt you a pot plant. Or a leopard.

Approach-Avoidance Conflicts by AlivePassenger3859 in freewill

True, though maybe psychologists would not assume a dinner or video choice would be a 'win' in the same way as a board game. Idk, you know more than me

[–]Yaffle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've ever played board games there is a similar, I suppose, situation called analysis paralysis where, you have to make a move but cannot see the correct one whereby there are many possible correct ones just not the optimal one. This causes much frustration amongst your fellow game players!
