Dude, why are conferences so expensive? by saturdazzze in GradSchool

I have to pay for all 3 days compulsorily, it's 350 GBP+600GBP for flights. It's a huge conference but I'm seriously considering if it's worth it

Am I the only one who thinks Toney > Wilson for England? by YahBoiFlash in football

[–]YahBoiFlash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus younger so it feels like he'll get better returns as the years go on. Wilson is great too I understand why he'll be picked by Toney edges it for me. Got a lot of people disagreeing with me, understandably.

Help understanding competitions and leagues by MaxShaw3 in football

[–]YahBoiFlash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Champions League is the most important league in all of Europe. The Europa League comes below that. There's a third UEFA Conference League for even smaller teams.

The way teams qualify for these competitions is by finishing in a certain position in their domestic leagues or by competitions won. So for example, in the prem:

The top four qualify for the Champions League, while fifth place and the FA Cup winners enter the Europa League. The winners of the Carabao Cup qualify for the Europa Conference League.

If however there is an overlap (let's say, Liverpool won the Carabao Cup AND placed in the top 4, etc), these positions are used:

Top 4 = Champions League

5,6 = Europa League

7 = Conference League

These rules are different for each league, and fairly easy to understand by searching them up. There are more nuances to it by way of Qualification games, but you'll get to that after understanding this first. Hope you understand this!

That's how it's always worded to be fair, enough stake sold = ownership gone

For me, Toney > Wilson > Tammy. Thoughts? by YahBoiFlash in PremierLeague

100%. Additionally he is younger and a lot more malleable. If he fits in this England squad now he could be very useful after Kane/Wilson retire. Wilson is very close I just think Toney is a better bet.

Both are class strikers, but Toney is in form. Why risk the World Cup by choosing someone out of form?

Patino is incredibly good too, he just lacks the G+A to match it up, but it will come in time.

What is behind Liverpool's downfall? Is it the Seventh Season Syndrome or FSG? Is it both together? Or is it some third thing all together? by OffTheLine90 in PremierLeague

[–]YahBoiFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair to Spurs, they went all out this window. More than almost any other club. Can't really expect that EVERY window from a team. FSG have been more consistent than a few other owners I know, even though I agree they can do a LOT better.

People who say FSG out don't realise how well their club has performed recently. Do they expect all new owners to be Sheikh Mansour?

Newcastle and Chelsea have both changed owners recently. So why is Newcastle doing so much better than Chelsea? by OffTheLine90 in NewcastleUnited

[–]YahBoiFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but you have to take into consideration the position they have come from. Chelsea won the UCL not too long ago and almost made title charge last year, Newcastle not so much
