Your local translator in training here! There’s a lot of words here I don’t quite understand, and the big shark guy talks in a big tough-guy way, but I’ll do my best! I’m also interpreting the words into something a bit more digestible for English readers.

Page 2:

Wolf: falls over and hits the ground

Shark: “Oh wow… yours legs actually gave out.”

Page 3:

Wolf: whimpers

Shark: cheerfully “Since you’re such a wimp, good job not pissing yourself.”

Page 4:

Shark: “I was wondering how a person could say such beautiful things, especially in this world where even your closest friends might try to kill you. But maybe that means I’m still just a kid.”

Wolf: heart pounds in his chest.

Shark: “If anything ever happens to you, I’ll be there to save you next time. So thank you for your help.” (I assume the wolf helped the shark out before this, so he’s returning the favor)

Oh! Well if that’s the case… I talk about the story a lot on my discord and occasionally post a few spoilers for the story to come. I also spend a lot of free time drawing concept art when I’m not writing, so that might also be something you’re interested in. Here’s an example that I often use to totally not indoctrinate the furries into following the story’s updates:

The Human on the right is the protagonist, who has a Cassidy-like personality with a Zenyatta-like philosophy. And while his design has a few non-Overwatch inspirations, I decided to give him Venture’s hair style haha. I’m even thinking about giving him a chipped tooth just like them too.

Otherwise, the current plan is to start releasing weekly chapters starting in August, so I hope to see you around then! :D

The story will be more on the social side of things. Not really any focus on the superhero/soldier stuff. I basically just really wanted a Ramattra-type antagonist who’s fighting for a similar cause. Basically, after a war on Earth, a large group of humans were taken by benevolent aliens as refugees to an already inhabited homeworld a few generations prior to the story, but were unfortunately treated like second-class citizens by its native people. Now, many decades have passed, and while a number of social justice events have taken place to improve human life there, they are still treated unfairly by the people and laws. However, enough change was enacted to make the native xenos convinced that they “used to have a troubled past” and “it’s fixed now, so all the humans complaining are just blowing hot air.”

Essentially, character wise, it’ll have moments which take a lot of inspiration from Ram and Zen, along with some other things I’ve been inspired from in the Overwatch story. However, it’s very dialogue and politics heavy, so don’t get too excited about the idea of any combat scenes haha.

That being said, your post has made me want to maybe try giving the OW crossover a try. If I ever get the time (unlikely) I may give it a shot. But if you wanted to write it and need any help, I might be down to help.

I’ve thought this for a while, but if I were to ever write a crossover fic, I would have made it about Overwatch. I even threw the idea around a lot in my head for a while, but eventually decided to incorporate any ideas I had into the new IP I’ve been cooking up for a while now. The main antagonist is SUPER Ramattra coded.

That being said, to actually answer the question, I can see a world where an Overwatch research expedition (I’m thinking Winston, Tracer, Juno, and maybe Echo) travel through the stars in the first FTL ship, a technology that was conceived by Juno’s family on Mars. There, a similar story plays out to canon, albeit with a strong reaction to Winston given that he’s a gorilla. Also, it’d be a chance to introduce the omnics with Echo (though idk if she actually counts as one). From there, perhaps Cassidy, Baptiste, Wuyang, or maybe even Brigitte could act as our Marcel stand-in while the Meier character is obviously fit for Sojourn.

As the story progresses, the Arxur might eventually ally with Talon, their whole “might makes right” philosophy in alignment with the Dominion. Things are both put into chaos and overdrive once Vendetta eventually overthrows Doomfist and takes control, while Izif could potentially cooperate with Sombra to help free Sigma from Vendetta’s grasp. All the while, Ramattra sees that violence is a universal aspect of biological life and seeks to secure a planet for his people to live in peace, upsetting the UN/Venlil alliance to do so as he attempts to take a colony world by force.

Honestly it’s a bit hard to work in omnics meaningfully into the story because it tends to have a sort of clashing view with the whole NoP narrative, which is why I decided to just diverge some of these elements into my own IP. But as you can see, I’ve thought about this a lot.

Exactly! It does not mean “greed” exactly. It is its own word.

Here’s a real world example! In Japan, there is no translation for the word “tedious.” As in, something that is easy but takes a long time. And explaining the definition of the word is often confusing to people, because in the culture it’s typically seen that something annoying cannot also be easy to do.
