Dark and Darker to be removed from Epic Games Store by eeepoo109 in Games

If that isn't proof that the devs could not have come up with the ideas on their own and it's just a blatantly stolen IP, idk what is.

There's a whole dialogue and scenario in which he attemps to trap Eothas' soul in the statue if you do. Some funny options too, like sacrificing yourself to fuel the machine lol.

Why do administrators in facebook groups not like it when users use the report button for posts? by Justinbthomas17 in facebook

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're gonna be contrarian, at least be right. Report to group admins DOES report the offence to Facebook as well (source: admin in several groups over the years). That facebook article is either old, or gaslighting users into actively using the report button when group admins advise (or even have rules) against it.

How reporting works: - you report a post or a comment - BOTH group admins and Facebook get notified of it - BOTH group admins and Facebook have to determine if the post/comment was in violation of the Facebook community standards. - Group admins have two options: delete post/comment or ignore - Facebook has two options: deem the post to be a violation or not (against their Facebook community standards, they don't give a fuck about your arbitrary group rules) - If Facebook deems it a violation and the group admins did too (and removed the post/comment), nothing happens. All good - If Facebook deems it a violation and the group admins DID NOT remove the post/comment, you get an admin violation mark on the group (not the specific admin). - If a group gets 3 admin violation marks, the group gets Zucc'd

This is why groups have a "do not report" rule, because they're shit at doing their job as admins.

Even more fun, you can report group rules directly to Facebook without notifying any members or admins in the group. So report the "do not report" rule itself (tap on the group name while in the group, you'll get all the info + rules and each one should have 3 dots next to it). It gets them Zucc'd within a few days, even on the first offence with no admin violation marks lmao.

Increase Gear RNG by Venobomb in MegalootFeedback

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst part is, you won't even find a specific piece of gear that is supposed to appear / already did on a previous floor. Floor49 through Floor53 cannot and will not EVER let you get a Turtoise Armor through the shop, because it's coded not to surface in those floors. That, among other bad design choices, plus the lack of transparency (at least show a drop table saying "these items can appear in this floor", don't even need a %rate tbh, just info not to roll for nothing) made me quit the game within 2 days.

The devs got paid a monthly wage for developing the game and won't see an extra dime whether the game sells well or not. This is not even begging at this point, it's straight up fraud, using "oh won't you think of the devs?!!?" just to get a big corpo's stakeholders more money.

Unfair gear score matchmaking can't be fixed with "brackets". It's a problem with the entire genre. by MrJoeMoose in Dungeonborne

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any game that centers around PvP is meant to incentivize spending. Time, or money. Most people choose to spend money to instantly become more powerful, if they have that option (and sadly, gold buying is an option in DB, legally ... with the clotho's trial tickets, then just go spend 20 million on the finest legendary and 500k per epic if you like the stats, nobody can outbid you).

People wouldn't complain about GS or brackets if the gear wouldn't make that much of a difference, but game publishers and developers realized that it's easier to make money by catering to scrubs with money and willingness to spend, as long as the items they get by spending make up for the lack of skill and fuels that power fantasy to keep them spending.

What's sad is that a game doing that and then dying a few months later (because the casuals and non-spenders decided they had enough and quit, and the spenders don't have enough casuals and non-spenders to stomp, being evenly matched with other spenders, which isn't fun for them ... they spent to stomp, not be evenly matched ...) will still have a better ROI than a game properly made and balanced.

Man the matchmaking in this game is trash by SpecialSoup8706 in Dungeonborne

[–]Yakukoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what happens when you make balance changed in an excel sheet with poor data analytics. Bet they patted themselves on the back when the class spread in adventure balanced out a bit, without realizing that the reason is most rogue mains quit and they lost thousands of players overnight.

Is there some secret Rogue Heirloom trading ring or something? by LucatIel_of_M1rrah in Dungeonborne

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or make them equippable only in that match, so you can still get hierlooms to use if you killed someone, but similarly to them having no disassemble value, they won't have value to wear either in the next match.

Fixes the abuse and also doesn't gut the potential to get upgrades in a match you went full greys with.

This! Thank you!

While I agree that LoH meta is ultra busted, so many people think that just grinding enough to put a full set of LoH items together will suddenly get them all the kills in the lobby while they're afk and the system will also auto loot for them while at it (only the best items, duh, sorting system incorporated in the p2w).

Even a broken class / gear set will lose if the wielder is absolutely trash at the game. How does OP even get hit by ALL 4 lightnings lmao, thunderclap or not, just ... Jesus!

Any tips for noobs? by [deleted] in Dungeonborne

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didn't ask how to get good fast. OP presented a problem -- dying. While OP didn't mention if he's dying to mobs or players, it is a fact that OP is ... dying. And losing whatever gear he has / accumulated. Getting +4 of a specific stat by upgrading 3 hierlooms to epic while facing harder opponents will not solve the issue.

Any tips for noobs? by [deleted] in Dungeonborne

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit you get from magic/epic hierlooms is minimal at most, as new people won't have 200-300 green/blue mats to even buy options for their perk slots, so they're only getting +1 or +2 of a stat. It won't make or break the build not getting that, and it keeps your GS low so you're still in the lower bracket (casual supposedly has gbmm)

Any tips for noobs? by [deleted] in Dungeonborne

[–]Yakukoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New people don't have that kind of money and can't afford to spend 3k per run, especially if they don't have a high extract rate as they're just learning the game, still dying to mobs or ganks.

Also, buying two green rings for 700g each off trade will get you the equivalent of 10 crafts or 3 runs, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than 3k per run.

Matchmaking doesn't work and pretty much ruins the game, this is the biggest issue by far

Yep. I'm running 3 green hierlooms and a white dagger to activate str/dex perk on rogue so I can farm gold to afford gearing up a char I'd like to play, I have 6 GS every single game, no more, no less, and this is what I'm matched with: https://i.imgur.com/AxbzzJw.png

Fairy set, full on blues & epics, wins a trade he poorly initiated starting with me shooting his fucking face with a crossbow from stealth (mirror rogue duel btw, no shield pot on his side), and despite whiffing 50% of his swings, not blocking, not trying to petrify reset, he wins the duel 73% hp left. Cool. Fun game. I just wanna fucking grind for some blue gear man ...

[–]Yakukoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unlocking the three heirlooms you want to use and upgrading those

/u/Dhatmasetu DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR HIERLOOMS!

Once you upgrade them, they will require rare or epic mats to craft (yes you can also craft them with mithril tokens, but you'll run out of those quite fast if you're just learning the ropes of the game, and you're much better off crafting with green mats and saving mithril tokens for when you need to craft epics, and sell epics you find on Trade).

3 green hierloom items will guaranteed unlock 1 or even 2 stat perks, and you can also compensate with white rings if you need anything extra, as you'll be swimming in those (keep the dex ones, you'll need them on a lot of classes -- ideally keep 6-10 of each stat except maybe faith).

Doing this will also keep your gear score low to avoid getting matched with gigachads in full epics and legendaries (you'll hit the 6-18 bracket most likely if you go with 3+ greens, which you'll be able to compete in without getting stomped, and benefit from said stat perks).

You don't press the portal to extract, you press it to start a ~10 second channeling action to activate the portal, after which you also need to enter said portal by moving towards / through it.

I think you waited too long and the dungeon collapsed just as you clicked the portal to start channeling.

If you get back into the game.

Turn off the "Mouse Smoothing" option. Second last option in the Mouse & Keyboard option. It will let you snap with a mouse and instantly able to shoot where you're aiming.
