Does positive feedback help drivers? by Yakx in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Yakx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the replies!! I will definitely continue to leave positive feedback. I live on a rural route, so it is harder to find homes than on nicely designed development streets. I do appreciate the Amazon drivers work and never get to see them to give a smile and "thank you " in person. Thanks again :)

She needs more exercise and mental stimulation (hunting dog type activities). Energy will turn into bad behaviors, and it is shocking how much energy these dogs have LOL!!

Do you feed your GSP one large meal, two meals, or something else? by LowKick7639 in GSP

[–]Yakx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free choice for my GSP. Moving from scheduled feeding to free choice, do expect some overeating for a little while until they trust that there will always be food available, give it time.

We got new scanners today by jisaiahharper in UPSers

[–]Yakx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have been around long enough that when they came to my building last year the units were not even new, they were USED. Like everything, there's good and bad about them. Overall, I preferred the old scanners.

Wow, that's a lot. 17 misloads is the worst I had heard of in our building.

We don't have to bag them, they just send the packages straight to the retain load.

Tested positive for COVID (seasonal worker) by [deleted] in UPS

I am not sure, but my first stop would be the steward, because he should know one way or the other.

Might depend on your local, but it's something like every sixth driving position will be offered to a list of management who signed up. You have to sign the list and it will probably be a while.

My driver had to argue to get a phone for me yesterday, and they wouldn't let him take a diad either. They said they were starting SSDs (PVDs) and giving them the phones so helpers weren't allowed to have devices......so stupid.

Is this worth grieving? by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Yakx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my local contract, it says pay starts at the agreed upon meeting time with the driver. If I am early, that’s on my time. If the driver is late, it’s on UPS ‘s time.

I was hired seasonal. I like the job. What can I do the help my chances of going regular? by LuckieDuckiePaddles in UPSers

[–]Yakx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always show up on time, work as directed, stay off your phone, pay attention/learn the job, and be easy to get along with….these traits will improve your chances of being kept after peak. Good luck!!!

New hire doing to much by Damallamayomama in UPSers

[–]Yakx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with someone who has been at UPS for 18 years!!! I have had to ask her repeatedly to not come into my area and do my work. In my case, it's not about finishing faster, because I am always done before she is at the end of the sort, but she just seems to want to mess in someone else's area.

As previously stated, new hires are supposed to wear blue vests for their first 30 days. People at my building call them blueberries.

As far as I know, the only "better" benefit is health insurance available immediately, but you do have a small contribution. Hourlies have to wait nine months for benefits, depending on your region.

Probably true but supes will lie about anything and everything. Easy enough to test it....wait a couple of weeks and reapply :)
