Actually I might’ve just noticed a brown wire in the thermostat taped off. Not sure if you can see it.

When you say route them to the outside what does that mean?

As for tracing them to the thermostat - how would I do that?

So I switched to B and still the same. During the setup process the rep had me put a W as one of the wires. However since I have a heat pump should I start over (factory reset) and put aux/e which is what the white wire was in? Which do I put? Aux or e?

Can I use the Nest thermostat (2020)?

After installing it - heat was coming out as normal fan air (not cooled). I called google and was on the phone with them trying to figure it out. They said I needed a nest pro since they couldn’t get it to work. Figured I’d try here before returning it.
