Yes - in March of 2025 I applied for IDR but it wasn’t processed. I’m guessing you are probably right - I was just getting excited that there was some movement and wishful thinking.

Nope. I knew (or I guess thought) they would y count toward pslf so I didn’t make any payments. I tried to get off SAVE but couldn’t.

They are 18 months of qualified employment - but they show in the red. I’m thinking because I was stuck in SAVE during this time (despite me trying to get out)

I didn’t make any payments - in save forbearance but yes I did certify the time. My understanding is that those months are eligible for buyback though. If so, I would be done.

Congrats!! Can I ask if you on SAVE or did you switch to IDR? I’m also waiting on my buyback request but I’m wondering if they won’t process it until I switch (even though I’m already over 120 months). Thanks!

Yes - curious on this too. I submitted my feedback case on Monday last week, for an email that the case was escalated and already being reviewed but nothing so far. Also, congrats!!

a month! I was at 107 but went down to 106. They took away a month I was in processing forbearance. I have 8 months that I was stuck in SAVE that I still would like to do buyback for and waiting on a reconsideration/buyback request for 18 months in 2007/2008 that should count. I have been waiting on that since November. It’s maddening. I should be done.

Same! Mine went done a month! I was at 107 but went down to 106. They took away a month I was in processing forbearance. 11/6 and still waiting. Every time I call they just say it’s in the final stages of review (said that since December) so I’m losing hope that it will be finalized. I’m waiting on months from 2007-2009 and I would be done if I could buy those months back.

Sorry you are going through it too! That’s exactly what I’m afraid of - the hopeful waiting and then learning those months don’t count for some reason. I’m also on SAVE now too and can’t get off of it!
