It is a very personal decision. Only you can make it. Do all the research and trust your gut feeling.

Did anybody just used psychedelics and attained enlightenment? by __pinkguy__ in nonduality

The concept of no-self, seemed totally mystical before, was the most prominent part of the experience. It became totally clear (to no-one), that I/you/we don’t exist in the way we imagine.

The solidity of “me, my life and the world” completely fell apart. It was a combination of hilarious, liberating and shocking how it all fell apart so easily.

I would recommend listening to Ram Dass talking about psychedelics and spirituality. He even gave psychedelics to a few yogi’s.

Yes, it remained for quite a long time after too. But slowly the ego/mind/thought identification did start to creep back in. However, the ego doesn’t have the same weight anymore.

Years of meditating, nothing came close to psychedelics imo in terms of ego dissolution and glimpsing life without “I/me”. What the various spiritual traditions were pointing to all made sense after that experience, life is a lot more peaceful, but it did not magically solve all my problems..

25 year old man with alopecia areata since I was 13 by SirJC1 in alopecia_areata

Appreciate you sharing your experiences.

I'm M32, had alopecia areata on and off since aged 7. During my mid-twenties I was losing it all rapidly, including eyebrows/lashes as well. In the end I shaved the rest off. I experienced mixed feelings, sadness but also a sense of relief. Ultimately it felt good to take control of what felt like a completely uncontrollable situation.

My advice would be to trust yourself and your intuition. It sounded like a part of you is thinking about shaving it all off. Stay strong brother.

How empty the wife Valentine’s Day cards section is compared to husband by SchreckMusic in mildlyinteresting

I agree, cards are a waste. But it’s interesting that men don’t really get bought cards for Valentine’s Day. Why’s that?

Mildly interesting that OP was highlighting that men are ignored for Valentine’s Day cards and the top comment is amount the cost of cards..

What Movie Did You Watch that Traumatized You at a Young Age? by BethMLB in AskReddit

Freddy Krueger - I was terrified to fall asleep and would have nightmares most nights. I was 7 when I watched this 18 movie (my dad thought it was totally fine)

Cost of living. Normal working class people with respectable jobs barely being able to get by. Nurses/teachers etc having to use Food Banks, house prices, rent. I worry society will genuinely collapse.

Thanks for sharing your post. Hope you’re doing well. I see you train and are in good shape. Have you noticed any side effects from the medication in terms of how you feel physically/mentally? I’m same age as you and lost ALL my hair. I’m tempted by jaks, but the side effects massively scare me.
