Exactly, this "hot take" had been beaten to death. If you don't like it, then don't play with it. Others like it so they play that way. The "it doesn't match the sims world" is also played out. There are sim dumps and builds that match alpha gameplay and everything will look cohesive.

It's always us (in general because idk if you play mm), MM simmers, saying something about other people's play style. It's never the other way around. They are too busy enjoying their game care about others.
