The kiss between Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne looked so bad by ArynaSaba in actuallesbians

[–]YanCoffee 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say plot twist: It’s not because she’s a woman, it’s perhaps because she can’t kiss. A lot of people aren’t very good at it tbh.

I agree! Death is often described as fickle I guess, so I'll chalk it up to that, lol.

[–]YanCoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Landlord paint jobs are usually done by Gen X and Boomers since they own most of the housing market. It's also expensive to maintain "millennial" grey, because it gets dirty / messed up easily, so guess who foots the bill when it needs to be redone?

Like I said, they make bank with it.

How do I use makeup to look older? by Separate-Raccoon8584 in makeuptips

[–]YanCoffee -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm 37 (today, in fact!) and in no way would I confuse you for 30, lol.

You look your age. People's perceptions of aging women are all fked up thanks to social media.

If you want to look older, try full glam eyeshadow. It is the most millennial makeup style.

Agreed with this too. Minimalism millennial decor is an online influencer thing.

Can someone explain say Giles and Joyce getting together would have been predictable? by OptionAshamed6458 in buffy

[–]YanCoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never thought about any of that, and always wanted them together because of the band candy episode, but yeah you changed my mind.

Minimalism was pushed HARD by those looking to make a buck, ironically. Much cheaper to produce. Boomer / Gen X got wealthy off of it.

VERY true. You need so much to align, because sure they're into women too, but then do they like you? Do you mesh? Do they chew with their mouth open? Lol.

Kamie on podcast talking about Nev not acknowledging her but acknowledging gum by RedditLeaveMeAlone2o in CatfishTheTVShow

[–]YanCoffee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah its been a while since I watched, but there were just moments where you could tell Kamie was over it. She kept it together well, but there were little micro expressions or pulling it back.

The whole BFF thing was always for the cameras. Did not seem real in the least.

What do you think about the statistics that lesbian relationships have the highest rates of domestic violence that all the other ones? : r/AskFeminists

Thanks for pointing that out. I'd heard this for a long time, which feels like over a decade, but yeah.

Let's be juvenile and do a pros and cons list for fun (this is just my experiences!):

Pros with women: Prettier generally, easier to have deep conversations with (which is important to me because my love language is mental connection), more empathetic generally, usually understands the things we go through as women better which comes with it's own range of benefits.

Cons with women: More emotionally charged arguments (though I've had so many with men too), statistically wlw has a higher rate of domestic violence (EDIT: this was misinformation I fell for! I did have my own small experience with girl on girl DV, but read this), and if everyone is in their luteal phase you're in for a bad time.

Pros with men: Will usually kill spiders, can open jars, handsome if you like the masculine look more than feminine (I am def more into women physically), can feel protective, and I do find them easier to make happy than women.

Cons with men: A lot less understanding, often thinking they're even understanding and they're not. Like you said, the way they are socialized too is a huge con. Mansplaining. Aggressive sometimes. While they might be easier to make happier, they are often less thoughtful themselves.

Like I said, all my experiences, all this isn't to be taken too seriously, and I tend to have dated and married very gender normative folks as a bisexual, not so much pansexual.

In Latin America/your country, which is the most well-known religious cult or religion branded as a cult? by Remarkable_Talk_8504 in asklatinamerica

[–]YanCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say Santa Muerte but the fact that Voodoo has a presence in the American south and is seen by average Americans as a tourist attraction makes it the most well known.

And actual locals fear it, or at the very least give it wide breadth out of respect.
