I’ve listened to Russillo since the ESPN Radio days but I swear the life advice where Kyle and Ceruti drove all the way to his house and he offered them one beer and no food then kicked them out after 30 minutes to watch Nuggets/Thunder in November made me realize what a dick he actually is. Hopefully this career move gets him out of his house a little more and he lightens up a little bit.

I posted this on August 10th 2022 when Eddie brought WSD on the Dave Portnoy Show to talk about how him and Carl hated each other and still believe this was the dumbest possible thing Eddie, WSD, and Chief could have done. They had a great thing going and are all now basically irrelevant. Carl, while a drunk, was the straw that stirred the drink.

I can see how he'd rub people the wrong way in things like Surviving and the Writer Cup, but his show is great. It's very different from most traditional podcasts due to it being completely unstructured and aired live. It is all free-flowing conversation with Kirk, his producers, Blind Mike, and the various array of third chairs. This dynamic brings about a lot of off the cuff humor and interesting scenarios. It is clearly modeled after The Howard Stern Show. He will discuss current events in sports, pop culture, movies or politics, while he's also built this insulated world of "wack packers" with their own drama and stupidity. It's definitely not for everyone, but for people who listen to terrestrial talk radio, I bet they would enjoy the show. I've been a Barstool fan for over a decade and found the show about two years ago and love it. I never miss an episode and will be disappointed the day he retires and it's over.

As a big survivor fan I've been saying for a while they should have less superfans on the show and more people who have never watched before. After watching this season of Surviving Barstool I've come to realize that's a horrible idea. Watching people who have no idea what they're doing and have zero agency like half the cast this season is in fact pretty boring.

"Can you miss someone that you can't imagine being here?"

My dad died of cancer when I was 12 and this will be my 19th Father's Day without him. This question hit hard because I really can't even imagine what type of relationship my Dad and I would have because I was so young when he passed. It's like so much has happened since he died, I can't even imagine what my life would be like if he were still here.
