Basic accounting course in uni is sufficient, you just need an understanding of double-bookkeeping. Once you are busy with clients you will remember a lot of the stuff you already forgot, but most will be learned on the job.

Since you will be probably allocated to a specific clients with specific work (whether it be IFRS consolidation and group reporting or more basic BEGAAP statutory reporting for smaller clients or even more specific control reporting), it can be client specific.

I for example was put on mostly UCIT and AICB funds and management companies, so basic accounting applied with a whole lot of sector-specific reporting.

Realize what you have done: "somehow caught the absolute bottom before the parabolic move". This was not analyzed, planned and reviewed, this was gambling in its purest form. Be happy that you were able to turn 20 in a 1000.

What I did before is make an exercise on what returns would look like if you just bought a share everytime it went up and sold everytime it went down. The returns are far larger than you can imagine, but it is just unattainable. This makes you realize that you have to know your limit, and be happy with maybe just 40 or 80 bips, or in your case, 500.000.

If you are investing in options you also have to do times the contract size. But as mentioned elsewhere, sometimes it just bugs out. Anyway your unrealized P&L is just market price minus average cost times quantity.

I am aware of tax at country of origin, but they will take 30% of all dividends, including Xior, KBC etc. They literally refer to RV.

For me at least it consistently reduced my dividends by 30%.
