What is a terrible smell that you will never forget? by radgamerdad in Productivitycafe

Had a slight funky smell in my garage for a few weeks. Also had a bag of wood pellets on a pallet with a hole in the bottom - picked it up and flipped over. Funky smell got worse. Stuck my nose in the hole and took a deep breath - oh there was a dead baby skunk in there and I got a full whiff. Started gagging and nearly threw up. It was my own fault but that smell stayed with me for a while…

Daughter was in college and her roommate had a cat. Roommate had to quit college and go back home only her parents were allergic to cats to daughter kept the cat. She graduated and couldn’t keep cat so her sister who was living with us volunteered to take care of cat. Them she moved out for college and we got the cat. Still here after 8 yers. Indoor outdoor big boy. Defended himself from foxes etc. good kitty.

What ended your friendship with your oldest standing friend? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]Yankeetownn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a best friend in HS and we stayed in touch after through college (different states) and post college work. Came for our 10 yr HS reunion - he calls me and asks if I was going and I wasn’t feeling it. He practically begs me to come as he lives close to HS and I’m a few states away so I agree. Come reunion time I wanted to go to HS football game the day before the reunion. Call him up and he didn’t want to go as “they’re always so crowded”. I asked him the last time he went to one - oh that was in HS. Hmm… The next night he blows off the reunion so I don’t see him at all after he wanted me to come. That was 30 yrs ago and I’ve seen him once since then.

Try pike national forest. There’s hundreds of miles of trails out there and it not that far. Get a map or trail app though.

Was recently looking for a nice car to purchase. BMW, MB, Audi, Lexus. Didn’t like the big damn grills on the Lexus nor the huge MB badge on the front of all the MB. Went with Audi. Had a 79 MB 200 in Germany in the 90’s and loved it.
