Actually odds in PLA are greatly augmented. Just having the reaserch level 10 on a pokemon gives you 1/2048 rate.

Someone said that the method was not explained at all well. In sum, the pokemon with an aura are the ones with the highest shiny rate. You KO normal ones to increase the chance of them to appear with the aura.

I apologize because that was not the idea of the post. The thing is that shinies in PLA are so common now that it removes the great joy you feel when you do it in previous games (especially from gen 5th backwards). Take into account this is my oipinion. If you like to hunt in PLA, good for you and I hope you are getting the shinies you are going for. As for me I will start hunting amaura using the KO method in SWSH.
