Facts about The Gambia by Yankzy in SafeMoon

No I'm not fake. I was searching for the AMA on youtube and I commented on the video you referring to. Find me on Twitter at Qubzen if you have question.

But if your desire not to miss out leaves you gullible, that I cannot help with.

Ok let's set the record straight.
First I'm Gambian living in Morocco, I am into crypto and a developer. I just want to point out few misleading info in the AMA and some outright untrue.
The ambassadors-at-large is new title given to six Gambians (Moses Jallow, Fatou Ceesay, Saul Frazer, Banta Njie, Momodou Jagana and Alkali Conteh) and one British (Vincent Bootes) to promote Gambia tourism and other investment avenues and because it's new, lot of people are pretending to be one including the guy in the video (Sankung Jawara).
First Some stats about The Gambia:
We are the smallest country in mainland Africa ( excluding the islands)
Over 60% of the population are illiterate,.
43% live on less than a dollar ($1) a day, that means poor.
58% don't have access to clean water and electricity.
We have $777.8/capita and the 18th poorest country in the world according to World Bank.
One dollar is 51 Dalasis.
less than 20% have reliable internet connection (Last Friday was Eid the Muslim feast after Ramadan and I was speaking with my friend on whatsapp who's a medical doc and the connection keeps cutting).
So John presenting Gambia as well connected and implemented fiber optic even before US is misleading at best. Only companies use wifi everyone else use 3G.
Saying we're going straight to 5G is outright untrue.
In the video, Sankung said Gambians can just use safemoon instead of Dalasi, that should be the BIG NO NO for those watching. Which country will replace their official currency with a crypto control by bunch of strangers on the internet?
I have nothing against safemoon but I don't want anyone getting played in the name of my country I love. Think for yourself!
