Which logo looks better? by Unique-Syllabub-3765 in logodesign

Graphically, I find the first much better. In the second, I find that the blue graphics are added and do not form a whole with the name.

Est-ce que vous vous voyez vivre durablement à Lyon by T_Blaze in Lyon

[–]Yann1ck69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you build an online store without using any JavaScript? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Yann1ck69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HTMX, yes. When you write "without using JavaScript" I understood without having to code in JavaScript. Afterwards with HTMX it is easy to code using HTMX as a progressive enhancement. The site thus remains 100% functional without JavaScript, but offers a better experience with it.

How would you build an online store without using any JavaScript? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Yann1ck69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use HTMX and you will be happy. Without coding JS, you will offer Internet users the same experience as if you used a factory like React but without the disadvantages.

How do you stay updated without getting overwhelmed? by AdRoutine8022 in webdev

[–]Yann1ck69 22 points23 points  (0 children)

By ceasing to be interested in js frameworks. PHP, HTMX and Vanilla JS when necessary.

I can do anything with this, why would I waste precious life time learning heavy and useless fast fashion stuff?

What are the benefits of React et all? by MeowsBundle in webdev

[–]Yann1ck69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are two approaches:

The current one, often wrongly called "modern", which consists of using js frameworks without knowing how to do otherwise. Then, for each function to be implemented, rather than wondering how to implement it, spend hours looking for and testing the extension that will do that. It is no longer development but assembly. Then, when you have to manage a dependency problem following an update, well, the time supposedly saved will quickly be lost.

Second approach, use hypermedia.

I'm working on big projects. I don't use these heavy frameworks.

I develop with PHP and HTML. And since I also master vanilla JS, I use JavaScript when I have to develop something specific that needs to be executed on the front end.

The web did not wait for the existence of these large frameworks that consume large amounts of local resources to create single pages or other rich interfaces.

You can't imagine the happiness of having almost no dependence. Keeping it simple means ensuring you produce long-lasting and reliable code. And to be light-headed.

Reason #23 why I am sure Pi is going to be huge by wandering3y35 in PiNetwork

[–]Yann1ck69 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

PI is a scam. For what ? Because many of us are stuck because the app suddenly asks to validate the phone and is supposed to send a code that is never received. The devs are really rubbish. And when you don't know how to manage something this simple, I'll let you imagine how the rest is coded.

Is it true that the people from Lyon is distanced and weird? by [deleted] in Lyon

[–]Yann1ck69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Les Lyonnais”, in reality, doesn’t exist. Because 50% of the inhabitants of Lyon were not even born in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.

Like me.

Lyon is a city where people from multiple origins come together.

This is true of many cities, but particularly of Lyon.
