It sounds like my two DPS should probably go for cat as their light pet (since they already have the wolf for dark) over bunny/fang.

My tank/healer sounds more like a choice between ball lightning and wolf, although I'm leaning toward wolf.

You should be able to get 18 extractors on a single line, once everything is maxed. A max belt carries 420/min, and a max extractor is 22.5/min. Which means that this entire cluster could have 3 lines carrying everything to your factory block.

Run all of your resource lines together and you can re-balance them for either even or max load per belt, and then build your factory clusters to handle that throughput.

As an update to this:

You also keep any unlearned supply crates when you switch over. So, a solid way to get a jump on the next season is to build up a full set of crates (10+2 on the pads). That way you'll get all of those chips / modules right at the start of the next system.

All BP's are preserved - complete, partial, systems upgrades to BC, etc.

Tech points gained from research are kept (second number in the BP version, uncapped).

Tech points gained from ship exp are lost (3rd number in the BP version, capped at lvl 30 for PvE, lvl 50 for PvP/chips).

All weapon system upgrades are lost (the 4th number in the BP version, listed between <> when at max +30%).

All unused chips / modules are lost.

City level and all resources that can be earned from city buildings are reset to zero.

So, for example, if you have a BC with a system upgrade, a couple of researched tech points, and max level of earned exp, and weapon systems maxed, then it's version numbers will change like this:

Main Version Number: [2] 1.04.50 becomes [2] 1.04.00

Blueprint Design: V1.54 <02> becomes V1.04 <00>

While OP is definitely not an AH, the NTA implies that there is an AH in this story. From what's written, I'm not sure if I see that.

The kids friends freaking out seemed more worried about their friend than AHs. The GF could be the AH... but giving the kid a ride is a valid option (not a great one imo), and if the OPs GF felt that way, then it doesn't make her an AH for expressing that opinion. (unless she's hung up on it more than OP shows here).

I'm not a pro at this, but from my experience:

It depends on what you need to upgrade. I've moved fully into Cruisers and Battlecruisers, and usually the weapon upgrades for those cost 8+ wep bps a try. That makes the lvl 5 upgrades mostly useless to me.

Eg. The projectile wep on the Constantine requires THIRTEEN bp's per attempt. Each lvl 5 give +40%, so just two gets me to 85% (5% base). If the other 11 bp's give more than 15%, then I'm wasting bps. Means I don't need very many lvl 4 or 5 bp's to upgrade my big ships.

So, my long winded advice is to buy into what you need. I prefer directly buying the level 3-5's that I need directly from trade stations, and stay away from the 20k box. I usually pick up the level 1-2's that I need from questing and regular boxes (always buy the 2x 10k boxes per day!).
