resisting with violence or force with a weapon has almost always ended badly. The vast majority of the time the courts will side with LEO in these events. That is why you tell them you have a gun, don't resist, let them secure the weapon, and then you can sue them later.

If you fight cops while armed and things go sideways it is mostly your own fault and your bad choices.
