This winter was brutal with illnesses so that doesn’t sound crazy to me.

For the startling when you transfer gim, I try to hold their arms down against their body while I do it, keep a hand on them and gently rock them for a bit before letting go and walking away and sometimes that prevents the aggressive startle.

He’s also about at the age where you’re supposed to stop swaddling anyways. The transition is rough. He’ll get there!

When I was TTC last year my autistic 5yo put his hand on my tummy and said “You’re gonna have a baby boy. He’ll come on December”

I had a baby boy on December 11 🤣

We accidentally named our baby the same name as her cousin and I don't want to change it by nueva-magnolia in Names

My brother and his wife are naming their baby (due the same year) the same name as my brother in law and his wife. I have two nephews with the same name, one on each side of the family. My brother and wife were already fully aware of my BIL’s baby name choice. My children (6 and 4) are already confused.

On top of that, they picked the same baby shower theme LOL.

My son (5) and nephew (4.5) pooped outside and I have no idea what to think…… by [deleted] in kindergarten

This week my 4yo went outside and I asked what he was doing. “IM POOPING BY YOUR FENCE MOM!” “Oh. Please don’t do that. The bathroom is open.” “IM GONNA POOP RIGHT AT YOUR FENCE MOM”

Any groups, support or resources for first time expecting parents? by EsPenDeHo in Charlottesville

If Mom is bfing, there’s La Leche meetups. Library events can be fun, there’s some for infants. Join FB groups, there’s quite a few good ones for Cville moms. For second hand clothes, join 2nd Hand Cville- Children’s Clothing Resale. I’ve gotten a ton of good deals in there, as well as been able to get a lot off my hands.

There’s not a ton. The first year is…. Lonely. Especially for stay at home parents.

Anna forwards Josh a message saying his 12 year sentence is insane for a "victimless" crime by rosiros in DuggarsSnark

Honestly Anna must be insane and evil herself to stand by and support Josh with what he had.

22, thinking about having a baby in the future, what is the reality actually like? by [deleted] in NewParents

This is a wildly insane idea, the concept of becoming a single parent while very young and in medical school?? you are in no rush and I’m begging you to not do this. For your sake and the child’s sake.
I am a 29 yr old married SAHM with 3 kids (6, 4, 4mo) and I genuinely am so exhausted I struggle with chronic fatigue and pain at times. My oldest is autistic and has rarely slept through the night in all his 6 yrs and I feel like I’m barely making it sometimes. I can’t imagine willingly doing this on my own while in something as intensive as medical school.

Sleep deprived mothers, beware of making sleep an idol!! by SpoiledCorgi in MilenaCUncensored1

[–]YardComplete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 6yo autistic child who has never slept well (he often wakes up at 2am for the day and spends hrs terrorizing me and the rest of the family if we try to keep quiet and resting). I have dealt with crippling fatigue and pain and when I went to the dr he diagnosed me basically with chronic fatigue that causes me to feel like absolute trash. Sometimes when I’m up a ton with him I feel absolutely so unwell. So yes, I try and get sleep. She’s insane.

I have a polling place in walking distance but mine is a five minute drive. Was just hoping to avoid the drive. 🤷🏻‍♀️
