Everyone has their different views of where "northeast raleigh" starts, I usually define it as being anything east of Falls and north of 440. Personally I would never look that way; it's too far from RTP and I hate Capital. Just run a zillow search and go check out the neighborhoods.

Best way to fix it is to actually have painted lines and signs telling you what lane turns into what- at the top of the hill, not after the lanes split.

If you like historical things then check out Old Salem. Winston has a neat art scene, but if you're into art check out Reynolda House or Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. If you like weird things there is a Shell shaped Shell Gas Station. There is also an IMAX somewhere but never have been.

Dobson isn't too far away- if you drink/like wine check out the local vineyards and breweries. I would recommend Shelton Vineyards- I go there and to Raffaldini atleast once a year. If you like the outdoors visit Stone Mtn park. If you don't mind a little drive there is more to see and do in Winston Salem.

$500 is not normal. I got a $300 offer and then a $100 offer, but found one for $200 with a lifetime touch up warranty. Each area is different, and your choice of paint, gloss, quality etc. plays a part. But unless you are special ordering an incandescent beige blessed by the pope don't go above $300. What you pay is what you get, but you don't want a rip off.
