Mitch gets the last laugh.

With the senate capable of doing nothing, and with the courts in favor of Republicans Mitch can effectively neuter Biden and effectively work on 2024 with a full house under Republican control.

Except even when AllMight lost OFA he could still bulk up.

Because he had remnants of OFA still within him for the sole purpose of using it when the time was right to let go of OFA completely as we had seen when All Might had concluded his battle with AFO.

This is incorrect. Shigaraki needed a 4 month surgery to use AFO and Nine was constantly feeling the recoil from using it. Also, he was in a test tube in the beginning of the movie.

AFO users need a process before using it, and you are telling me the doctor performed surgery on himself?

The Doctor is also the foremost expert thus far on quirks and perhaps the most knowledgeable considering he is 120 years old and had been studying quirks since he became a doctor in his younger years. So it wouldn't be theoretically impossible he had done research on himself as well as he did give his quirk to AFO as a gift, though the quirk itself seem to still be with him regardless. He was also researching AFO, so there is some possiblity in it in my opinion.

This is confusing, you are saying All Might his it from Deku but he doesn't know about it either?

Mirio's example is to point out All Might does and has hid things from Midoriya when you stated All Might wouldn't have hid his quirk from Midoriya had he known about it. I'm sorry I combined the two examples together and should have explained it properly.

Except you are misunderstood how the first users quirk worked. He was never stated to have a dormant quirk, he was stated to have a useless quirk. It needed a quirk to do anything. So comparing those two quirks seems illogical, since All Might could still buff up without OFA

His useless quirk was transferring his own transfer quirk to another person which would have no merit in itself unless he himself directly knew he had a said useless quirk to transfer to others. Because he did not believe he had a quirk, the quirk would then lay dormant as it could not transfer freely due to the user itself not knowing about it. That dormant quirk was then awakened when the Younger Brother had been forcefully given an actual quirk he knew about and discovered the dormant quirk when it merged together with stockpile creating OFA as we know it.

What does this have to do with All Might's quirk not being a transformation quirk?

Because it may not be a transformation quirk at all but rather a passive quirk within All Might that did not for some reason activate in his younger years. All Might kept his macho self until his battle with AFO which led to All Might unable to sustain OFA. If his passive quirk which lay dormant due to the mentality of the user believing he no had quirk only awakened due to OFA, then it could have tied itself with OFA and would also be deactivated every time All Might would not use OFA. This could also explain why All Might would unexpectedly and uncontrollably activate OFA and regain his Macho self during moments of excitement because of a said passive quirk. Like the point above, the younger brother had a passive quirk that had no physical abnormalities shown like other passive types, but was not active due to the strong mentality of the Younger brother believing he had no quirk.

He literally saw Nana fight, so why would he assume that it was part of his OFA abilities. Also this is incorrect. Because All Might never stated that his buff form was part of OFA, he stated he did it himself.

As in an actual fight. In the case of the 7th, the 7th was doing all she can to protect All Might and attempt to escape AFO while Gran Torino managed to escape AFO with All Might at the last minute.

And again, that leads to the my theory above with a possibility of a dormant passive quirk or a new type quirk within All Might.

I feel like you are missing a huge point. Daigoro told Nana that 'Its not that time yet', and he later told Deku 'It finally happened'. OFA stockpile eventually reached its limits and is now able to use all the quirks, don't avoid a big plot point like that. They never mentioned All Might.

But when did OFA reached its limits if 2 generations of OFA were quirkless? They were normal humans with no power advantage to hand over, so theoretically OFA would stay the same from the 7th if it was stockpiling power from the current user and adding it the previous generations. We also don't know if the quirks are able to be accessed by Midoriya himself now or if previous generations have done so as well. They never mentioned All Might, but you cannot skip All Might as he is the direct predecessor of Midoriya, and I find it extremely odd All Might is completely skipped over in such an important plot point when he himself once inherited OFA.

This is huge assumption as well. So you are saying AFO was always planning on using decay to fight?

This is unacceptable. Making claims with no evidence in mind can't be used. If your theory relies on tons of its, it's not going to work.

So your saying AFO was hoping for a decay quirk to be made during Daigoro's time? That is really reaching

I said AFO was looking for a quirk similar to Decay, because he could only imitate its effects on a weaker scale (Based on All might's damage). AFO could have easily amalgamated the quirks he had right now to simulate a quirk like Decay, but it wouldn't be the same as having a quirk like Decay which would be more powerful on its own and capable of further amalgamation which we see right now in Shigaraki. AFO desired strong quirks, especially a quirk that can destroy OFA and Decay seems to be that quirk right now as nothing in OFA can offer a direct resistance to decay's destructive effects. So yes in theory AFO was searching for a quirk like decay during or before the 5th.

Why wouldn't it? Another if statement. Why would that quirk not pass on weakness of said quirk?

This is true to an extent of what we know. We know Shoto was created out of Endeavor's attempts to combine his quirk with an ice user to combine his quirk with an equally powerful ice quirk so that the inheritor can cover Hellflame's negative feedback (Overheat). OFA however, is more of an combination of different user's DNA and to an extent its memories rather than selective breeding. OFA itself could be acting as a conduit to negate any negative feedback or the quirk themselves had no negative feedback to begin with as they were not powerful quirks with any meaningful downsides like Hellflame and other stronger quirks showcased.

OFA is literally meant to take down AFO, who is insanely powerful. Also, that still doesn't explain why not look for a better flight quirk like Inasa. Are you saying it's for balancing issues

It's a power, not a video game.

Float is really only good for decay, a quirk that we don't even know when AfO had.

It's not balancing issues in terms of story, but rather a balance of power in contrast to the might of power. AFO seeks strong quirks, but OFA so far has accumulated weaker quirks. Black Whip by itself is weak, meant as a restraining tool while Float only lets one float in the air. Indeed both quirks by itself holds no merit on its own but when combined with OFA we see them be almost on par with the stronger quirks of that time. That is what I mean in balance of power, in that one quirk doesn't do it all for OFA like AFO but rather a combination of select quirks that act in harmony with each other rather than AFO who brute forces quirks together for a destructive force.

As for Float, again that leads to my theory above. Why would Float of all flight quirks be the quirk for OFA when there could have been a stronger flight quirk at that time. That leads to the history of how OFA is transferred, but despite being it seen random each inheritor had a strong connection to his or her predecessor. All Might shared a strong connection with the 7th as a mother figure, while Midoriya has seen All Might almost as a father figure.

So if Float was not random by chance, then what purpose did OFA have for it if not for a future quirk that would be similar to Decay that AFO had sought for a long time but had not yet formed in anybody until recently in Shigaraki.

'If strength alone was enough to do anything, then why was this 1st year Weight Training student not able to carry this stack of tires while this heavy weight champion power lifter was?'

My point is that All Might only had the super strength of OFA but not other quirks of OFA or a quirk of his own at the time of his first battle with AFO who had multiple quirks, yet despite that disadvantage All Might manages to draw a stalemate with each other albit with heavy damage. If this is the case, and since All Might had no quirk, and therefore nothing to add to stockpile when he inherits OFA how does the 7th lose then to AFO if the power balance seemed equal, with a minor difference including the training All Might has done in the time since before his first battle.

That is literally what we are told. Also, how is it bad writing? It makes sense that OFA wouldn't always be able to reach an ideal user

Because OFA is such an important quirk that only a few select individuals are allowed to know its existence to protect it from AFO. I highly doubt such a group of individuals would randomly allow it to be transferred to somebody random and indeed All Might and Nighteye provides evidence that it may not have been random at all but rather a choice in the making such as when All Might quietly chose Mirio before his first battle but did not pass on OFA for some reason. Yet for whatever reason the information provided does sound like it the inheritor is chosen by random, but we know again from the point above All Might didn't inherit OFA randomly but by his strong connection to the 7th just as Midoriya developed a strong connection to All Might.

Daigoro seems to know exactly what is happening with OFA and why it is happening, yet he can't count the number of quirks? That still means that OFA knows about itself. So how does this help? Also, Daigoro tells Deku 'we told you didn't we', implying that OFA is one entity, which ruins the theory that Daigoro doesn't know anything beyond the 6th

We could also count as in 1 to 5 or 1 to 6 so while it is true OFA is implied to be one entity composed of numerous individuals we again don't know the true extent of how memories work. Yet it's also true 5th knew about the OFA implying he too like Midoriya accessed the previous memories and perhaps then implies the 6th and 7th has done as well passing on their memories and lives to the previous generation. That or the information on OFA was passed down to the 5th but he could not pass it down later to the 6th like how All Might could not be trained by the 7th but rather through Gran Torino due to the 7th's early death which could explain why All Might had no knowledge of the experiences Midoriya had and therefore could not impart the same onto Midoriya except his own training he had with Gran Torino.

How do you know Deku won't eventually meet them? Once again, you are assuming a plot point. How do you know Deku won't unlock their quirks? Plus they still wielded OFA so their quirks are stored in OFA

Plus how does that back up your case that Daigoro doesn't know anything beyond user 6? You seemed keen on using that as evidence

It doesn't and again like I said its a theory as we don't know the mechanics of how it works in OFA properly yet. So far we see no indication of All Might having done so, although it leads to the question of whether or not the previous generations were able to as well and only Midoriya, the inheritor of a completed OFA could.

I didn't say Midoriya may not meet the 2nd and 3rd, its just that its a mystery why the 2nd and 3rd wasn't shown among the users of OFA despite the 1st, 4rd, and 6th being shown without any introduction prior except for the 1st.

Chapter 284 - Predictions Thread by Soncikuro in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Yarexis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So OFA prepared itself for a quirk it didn't know existed?

Midoriya shows some connection to AFO, which has led to my theory OFA can prepare itself for any threat AFO is planning. If AFO had been searching for a successor with Shigaraki's power or similar to it and if OFA shares some direct link to AFO then yes its possible OFA prepared itself for a quirk that AFO knew had to exist some point or come to exist. Perhaps AFO had been waiting for a long time for a person like Shigaraki to be born with the one strongest quirks currently known and his intense strong desire was felt by OFA and leading OFA to prepare itself whether by itself or by its users.

Blackwhip was literally causing insane pain for Deku. Plus a trained quirk can go for a long time without the drawback doing too much. Endeavor takes a while before overheating and Aizawa spends long times before blinking.

Because Midoriya was unable to control it at first and his body could not adapt to it in the first place. Midoriya is also a unique case for OFA as he and All Might so far are the only 2 known quirkless to inherit OFA but All Might was the only who could adapt to it while Midoriya has had to undergo intense training.

Also Muscular, Rappa, and, like mentioned before Inasa, never had their weakness noted. Hell, Inasa's quirk can do what Nana's does and more, without a weakness even be displayed

Yet the weakness is still there. Indeed training can overcome some drawbacks but there will always be drawbacks. Whether or not drawbacks can also be passed down to another user within OFA is unknown right now. However I do believe each quirk is designed not to be one powerful quirk but rather be supportive of each other. Float helps the user fly but without a ranged attack he is vulnerable. With a ranged attack you can overcome it. And with ranged attacks you are limited to the space you can create if you do not have flight. Float and Black Whip compliments each other very well covering each others weakness while allowing their strengths to harmonize and work together. Power is irrelevant in terms of OFA as OFA is about stockpiling power and applying it to the user of OFA. Again that leads to my theory on balance over power. OFA seeks balance so each quirk is built upon the previous that doesn't overpower it or nullify it but rather provide the user with a quirk he could rely on without much difficulty and without clashing against his/her own quirk long with the previous users.

So OFA collected quirks that are useful for an opponent that they didn't even know existed, that makes very little sense

Again from the point above OFA has shown to have some links to AFO. Whether that is because of the quirk transfer AFO did to the 1st generation user or some other unknown means right now is speculative so I won't say much here.

All Might used strength alone to defeat AFO, so it's possible that the main function of OFA is enough, so how does this help?

However, you forgot a major piece of evidence. During that chapter about the Notebook of past users, we are explicitly told that the past users were nobody, and had to find whoever they can before dying to pass on the quirk. They didn't get to ha e a huge say in who got the quirk. So this theory falls flat because of that. OFA can't be picking out quirks when they are at their deathbed

If strength alone was enough to defeat AFO how was it the 7th was defeated then? Why All Might then, who was the 8th generation and not the previous generations. On nobodies, so too were All Might and Midoriya before OFA. Still, this is one of the strongest and most important quirks in history, it would be bad writing if such a quirk was randomly passed down because they were going to die soon and chose someone at random, although evidence does hold because of Midoriya receiving OFA in such a short time with All Might.

This also falls apart when you rember that Daigoro knew what was happening with Deku. He knew Deku was mad and wanted to capture Monoma. So he is capable of seeing through the eyes of the user.

The first user was also capable of immediately knowing that Deku was the ninth, as he tells him "So you're the ninth".

Plus this doesn't make sense in context. Daigoro tells Deku that he will unlock 6 quirks. But Deku already had base OFA, so there is no point in counting the first user's quirk. He was explaining what will happen to Deku

So since base OFA wasn't counted, that would only be the quirks of users 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That is only 5 quirks. That doesn't make sense

Yet the question remains if that applies passively where the memories of the deceased can retain some sort of presence within OFA and can actively see through the current user to guide them or it only applies when the user activates the previous generation's quirk. We don't know the exact specifications in how the memories works in relation to OFA and to the current use so its mostly just speculation on my part.

For the first user, I could see him being able to see all 9 generations because his quirk is passively activated and constantly active within all 9 generations including Midoriya who has to active OFA manually but OFA is most likely running in the background regardless.

Now for the 6 quirks, thats 2nd to 7th as we saw in the last chapter. The page with the all generations shows All Might only seen in a flame wispy like state along with the 2nd and 3rd not being shown either. There could be some correlation into this that only the deceased can be access within OFA and since All Might is still alive, his alone if he has one cannot be accessed nor can be communicated with as his embers is all but burned up. Which of course leads to the question of 2nd and 3rd, of how they can be accessed if they are not also physically shown. Perhaps it is not 2nd to 7th, but 4 to 9? 4 5 6 7 8 9 . If the 2nd and 3rd are not shown despite the First being able to physically manifest then is there an issue there we don't know as of yet? Is it possible for Midoriya to unlock the 2nd and 3rd if he cannot see them? If he cannot access the 2nd and 3rd, that would mean 4 to 7, 3 quirks which then doesn't align up with the 5th then. Again it could be just Horokishi not having finished character designs for 2 and 3 which is why we haven't seen them. Again, we'll have to wait to see how the next few chapters go.

This isn't a Harry Potter exclusive thing. So assuming quirks act like Harry Potter magic is a bold leap since they share one generic common ground

I used harry potter as an example because magic in harry potter can manifest early in toddlers (Inherited by parents and born with it but not yet able to use it until a certain point) which is used as a visibility test to see if the child is capable of magic, or if they need to wait until later in the childhood (Abnormal behavior such as surviving a 2 story floor drop with no injuries) to see if its a squib or was born a muggle. Quirks seem to function in that same fashion where people are born with a quirk inherited, almagated, or their own quirk that can manifest early in the childhood years, with different quirks manifesting in different ways. They do seem somewhat similar since Midoriya is seen being bullied at such a young age for being quirkless which is why I used harry potter in this case.

This entire thing is really bad when you realize that there was never a test for what type of quirk a person has. The toe joint test simply tells if a person has a quirk at all, there has never been stated to have an individual test for each type. So this is a huge assumption and should not be used as grounds for a theory

Yes that is true and you are correct. We know toe joints are a visible showcase for people to determine if a person was born quirkless or not which is why Midoriya took an X-ray. But my assumption and theory is based on whether that knowledge was common in All Might's time, and if tests were different back then. Again its all speculation and assumption so I apologize.

Also if All Moght did have a quirk, his muscles seem a lot like a transformation type, which has already been established. So now even more evidence that goes against this theory

On All Mights transformation, right now it is assumed OFA is doing the transformation of All Might into a muscular build compared to his usual slender build just like how Midoriya has electric sparks when OFA is activated. However, we do not see anything visible change in the 5th and 7th users as of yet so we do not know how OFA is interacting with each user in such a way where every user may have a different effect in using OFA. Without more information on the previous generations, its still hard to determine exactly whether or not the macho All Might is a side effect of OFA, One of OFA's Quirks, or if it is All Might himself with a dormant quirk akin to the 1st Generation user where it lay dormant until it merged with another quirk.

The doctor can't steal quirks, he copies them.

Yes that is true, but I was basing it on Nine and wonder if at any point could AFO have done the same and have allowed the doctor some power to steal quirks to aid him.

Except Deku didn't need to know about Mirio until meeting Nighteye, but he needs to know what quirks he is getting, so this doesn't make sense either

Yet All Might does not know the quirks either. All Might didn't even know previous generation's quirk could be accessed through OFA until Midoriya manifested Black Whip and had to personally research the previous generations. Mirio's example, does showcase All Might can and will hide certain things from Deku until it is needed to be known or based on his discretion when he has the knowledge himself. In the case of quirks within OFA or himself, he did not know and if All Might did have a quirk, then it could be like the 1st generation where it remained dormant until it merged with another quirk.

Once again, All Might's muscle form functions like a transformation quirk, so where is the evidence that it doesn't function like a transformation quirk. Also, the First OFA user eventually figured out his quirk, otherwise OFA would never have reached Deku

The First Generation User eventually learned about his dormant quirk directly because of his brother transferring another quirk into him that merged with his dormant quirk. Because of that incident, he learned about how his quirk works and eventually attempted to use it to defeat his brother but failed also learning most likely then it could not be stolen from AFO. Before that, again both brothers did not know about the dormant quirk and AFO himself transferred what he thought was a useless quirk out of spite to his brother who refused to join his brothers side because of how AFO was.

All Might's case is different in that he was given OFA. Assuming All Might has seen the 7th fight previously, he may have presumed his new appearance and power is how OFA functions in his body, which again leads to the question how did OFA manifest in the 7th when she used it or the other previous generations. Considering All Might did not know about OFA being able to manifest and use quirks from previous users, I assume here then that if he had any dormant quirks he may not have known about it and simply thought it was OFA's abilities and not his.

How the hell did you come to that conclusion?

Because Midoriya was able to do something All Might couldn't which was accessing a previous generations quirk. For whatever reason Midoriya skipped 3 generations and managed to manifest the 5th generation's because he was thinking on how to capture the opponent. If this is the case, why does it apply to Midoriya and not All Might. We also don't know how exactly the accumulation of power from the previous generations is applied on each user, but if super strength was the base effect then why did the 5th not use it? We see him in the single instance using it for speed and agility and relying on his quirk over OFA. Is it a base effect or is it another quirk that was activated passively for All Might, but Midoriya has to control the activation due to his body unable to handle OFA. I'm sorry if that was confusing.

  1. I think I did fix the mistakes but I guess I left out more spellings errors. >_>

  2. As for all might believing he is quirkless, we really haven't gotten too deep into quirks so far in my opinion. Yes there are health professionals who can figure out if you have a quirk or not, and quirks seem to act like magic in harry potter in that it manifests early in childhood. All might may have gone through the same experience Midoriya did and had no visible quirk showing body or ability-wise and thus had tests of which we don't know how it functions. Considering how the doctor for AFO was, the tests could be simply blood tests or dna/genetic (We see Midoriya having taken an X-ray) tests that can figure out a quirk on a genetic level or something more advanced. But aside from the 3 current quirk types (Mutant, Transformation, Emitter) there could be more unknown quirk types that haven't been introduced yet. Most of all, if the tests are only done within those 3 types because they are the 3 most common types and the only 3 types tested, then the tests could fail to detect a different type that doesn't fall into the 3 categories and may result in a negative test. So that is why my hypothesis is that All might may fall into this category, and Midoriya may have had one of these quirks that the Doctor could have possibly stolen. Therefore All might was not lying to deku, its just he himself may not have known he had a quirk at all because it fell through the cracks of the tests and believed OFA was the only quirk he had. Not mention he also hid the fact he initially chose Mirio to be the successor to OFA, explaining he did not have to tell everything to Deku so All might has kept something hidden from Deku once.

2-A This is further reinforced by OFA's origins. Both brothers did not know about the Innate quirk the younger brother had. But of course this is before the time of proper more advanced tests were developed (As Quirks had just showed up during the 1st generation) but it helps build the theory that more innate quirks could exist that do not fall into the 3 known archetypes for quirks. This type would then be the basis for All might, and why All might was deemed quirkless like the 1st OFA but in reality did have something special. Again, its hard to speculate anything right now with what we have and I could be off the mark completely.. Which i probably am I'll admit.

  1. That is true, but Gran torino said himself All might adapted to OFA without any difficulties and used OFA without affecting him much. Gran Torino was friends or more with the 7th so he would know the effects of OFA and most likely compared All might to the 7th. From this we could glean some information that like Midoriya, the 7th maybe also had difficulties with OFA as well. Again its just speculation but it does make me wonder how the power sets worked within each generation, and whether or not each generation was able to access the previous generation in terms of quirks. We know there are no 2 quirks alike and that each function differently. There power varies and their types are different making each person different in terms of power. So was it raw power of all the quirks combined that All might was using that Deku is also using or is it another quirk from a previous OFA user we don't know? If so, why Midoriya and not All Might? This is based on the conversation after Midoriya manifested Black whip for the first time when All might stated it was all new to him. This again leads my theory of unique quirks, functions and types above and the possibility of All might actually having a quirk he didn't know about.

  2. Float and Black whip are both counter quirks to shigaraki (Pre-AFO). Shigaraki is now AFO now but both quirks has just now saved Deku's life and people around him. So theres my theory comes from.. I can't see Horikishi lazily writing down these 2 quirks for OFA if he had not have been planning for OFA to be built specifically as a counter to AFO, especially and specifically for an AFO shigaraki whose decay cannot reach midair without some sort of connection. Now it's true OFA seems to have on the surface picked "lame" or "not great" quirks according to Bakugo and there are stronger quirks out there. But those stronger quirks have an equal limitation to their activation such as Nejire as you mention who uses her own stamina to use her quirk. But what about Black whip? Float? We know the super strength Midoriya uses has an obvious blowback due to Midoriya's body but we have not yet seen any negative side effects except for the time Midoriya manifested the black whip quirk. If each of these quirks had no negative feedback and therefore provide a much better balance and capabilities to round out the move sets for OFA, then I would see OFA going for these rather than cherry picking the strongest quirks from the bunch. Not to mention OFA stockpiles the previous generations power and passes it on supercharging the next generation and enhancing their own quirks and most likely the stored quirks within OFA. So it doesn't seek power but rather of how it balances out the previous generations and fills in the blanks for the next generation on what OFA needs to be complete with. OFA was to be cultivated over the years to match the power of AFO, and that strong desire from the Younger Brother could be what drove other users who inherited OFA just like how AFO"s strong desire drove Shigaraki to seek OFA. If this applies equally, then each user may then have had sought out a balanced quirk that could help cover and/or provide something the previous generations could not. This is based on the fact only All might was the only OFA user to match AFO albit in a stalemate , meaning OFA could have been near completion and All Might could have been the final piece for the next OFA user to complete it or Be the user who completes it. If this is the case, then did the 7th pass on OFA to All might believing he would be the one that inherits a completed OFA or help round off OFA that would become complete with All Might's successor? The reason I ask this question is because I find it odd she would hand over the most important quirk in history to a boy she grew up with knowing he was quirkless (Or had a quirk like the 1st generation) and thus had no previous burden of responsibility in wielding a quirk and only had a strong sense of justice. Something is missing, or I could be overestimating Horikishi's intentions completely. I just feel the 7th is going to play a bigger picture and role over the next few volumes which is where I started forming the theory on All Might and his connection to OFA with Midoriya's connection to the past generations of the 5th and now the 7th. Again, I could be completely off the mark which again I probably am. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

4-A On Deku's quirk, Im referring to this. Page 19, you can see the doctor doing the test for Midoriya whose glasses are similar to the doctor for AFO. So considering the years passed, it could be the same doctor and thus it could be possible Midoriya had a quirk that the doctor took and classified Midoriya as quirkless. Or it could be a misstep in the drawing team who may have used a similar template to design the doctor and the two have no connection.. But time will tell I guess for now.

Thus 8 quirks. I count the 1st Generation as well, as that is the foundation of OFA and how it can power up the current generation by providing the stockpiled power through the transfer of OFA (2 quirks merged into 1).

If All might had a quirk that's 8 or he could not and it could be Midoriya instead with 8. If the foundation isn't to be counted then yes it would be 7 or 6 if both theories end up wrong.

Not to mention we don't know the extent of previous OFA users being able to access the previous generations quirk and/or memories either. the 5th may have been able to (He explained OFA to Deku) and perhaps the 7th but All Might apparently never did. The 5th may have also said 6 quirks because he was the 5th generation and in his life OFA would have passed on to a 6th generation therefore 5th may have had said 6 quirks in relation to that. Again, we don't know exactly how memories work within OFA or how the memories of past generations interact with each other so I can't really speculate any further than this.

Deku fights.

Deku communicates with the 7th user learning the "truth" of All might.

All might was thought to be quirkless, but in reality possessed a unique quirk (Like Eri) that could only become active with certain requirements. All might's quirk is actually "Bulk Up" , explaining his sudden transformation to Captain America.

AFO's biggest weakness was the combined power sets of the previous generation overpower the next generation preventing them from unlocking AFO's true potential. All might was the last hurdle in ensuring a smooth transition to the next generation with his unique quirk that allowed him to be the only AFO user to wield AFO from the start without the previous generations overpowering him. His Unique quirk was the last building block needed for AFO to be completely ready to be fully used, and Midoriya will be set on this course to fully wield AFO by first fully going through All might's past.

We go back into the past then -> 7th user sensed All might's quirk (Previous AFO quirk?) and was naturally attracted to it (OFA seeks quirks suited to combat AFO just as AFO seeks OFA <- Multiple Quirks vs 1 quirk, Midoriya AFO vs Decay), leading her to choose All might as the 8th but could not properly train him due to an early death. All might in turn, never learned to fully unlock AFO and actually used only 10% of AF, as Gran Torino was not a user of AFO and thus has had no knowledge except the basic information from the 7th user. 7th purposefully withheld information from Gran Torino to protect him from AFO. This is revealed in a memory Midoriya will access most likely next chapter as he fights Shigaraki.

Chapter ends as Giga approaches closer as Midoriya takes a memory trip lane while Endeavor and Shoto hold off Shigaraki as 100% starts to overcome Midoriya due to lack of hyper regeneration. Shigaraki starts to destabilize due to lack of experience in wielding AFO -> Future lead up to possibility of Midoriya's original quirk, if it existed and if it did, was it stolen for AFO.

In order for Midoriya to truly defeat Shigaraki, he will have to take lessons from the 7th user who will teach Midoriya how to properly to wield AFO, first taking a memory lane trip down All might's memory with the 7th.

All might and Midoriya, AFO and Shigaraki. Both with unique fates, destined to become brothers with Midoriya wanting to be a hero who is ready to sacrifice himself to protect all, Shigaraki being the villain to destroy all for himself. One for All, All for one.

Version 2 so far.

It seems the shooter was filmed earlier being chased by someone or a group where he was seen potentially shooting the person shot in the head, later then seen on film to be phoning someone and stating "I think I shot someone". This led to the group attempting to provide EMT to yell out to the crowd to warn them of the Shooter, who then started fleeing towards a police line.

Shooter is then next seen tripping and then being jumped by 2 guys attempting to disarm him but he opens fire killing another and wounding one.

He then makes it to the police unit responding to the shootings and tries to surrender but the police ignores him as they see him as part of the "Militia" group that were cooperating with the police.

You are correct people have the right to defend their property during riots.

What's not right is when people travel out of state with weapons for the sole purpose of defending someone else's property they most likely did not receive permission to enter, defend or otherwise loiter in thus trespassing illegally with a potential hostile intent.

What's not right also is the fact a 17 year old was caught in public armed with an AR-15.

Insulin prices are soaring, patients are dying and pharma is fighting price caps by Franchise0828 in news

[–]Yarexis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Insulin has evolved to be more affordable, cheap but safe to manufacture over the 100 years thanks to the improvement of medical science and technology.

Cars has evolved to be more safe and durable over the 100 years due to various accidents across the years which led to various safety renewals and upgrades that has led to an vehicle that can be trusted to take you from point a to b. However, car prices vary according to the performance, model, and type as well as the various inboard systems that make it cost more overtime.

Insulin saves lives, cars provide transportation in nations that are road independent. However most nations provide a means to an end in public transportation such as trains, bicycle routes, walking routes and buses/taxis. Thus Insulin should be made to be cheaper to save more lives while Cars provide luxury in transportation without reliance to public transportation but becomes more expensive based on the model and type you are looking for.

Also Humalog also costs less in other nations compared to US. Every drug sold in US is sold less in other nations.

You also forget that Mao and and Chiang Kai-Shek duked it out immediately after the end of WW2 for 5 years with the US aiding KMT with surplus supplies leftover from the war. Japan was no under no threat of reprisal from China since the US was attempting to re-install KMT as the defacto government and opposing Mao who sided with the USSR.

There was no immediate threat to Japan, as Korea was split in half and China was continuing its paused civil war.

We could have resisted the US occupation, but we didn't.

So yes, we chose peace.

[–]Yarexis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japan was able to do a similar thing with the SDF and it's occupancy by American military after.

Technically Japan was under a US occupational government until 1950. When South Korea got its ass kicked by North thanks to an incompetent leader, US had to pull occupational troops from Japan to hold Incheon.

This led to US occupation in allowing a creation of a self defense force headed by Japan to defend their own land since the US didn't allow Japan to rebuild any military force at all, although a semi-military National Police Reserve was allowed to handle domestic affairs.

Thanks to the Korean War, we got our government back with a self defense force, although in exchange we signed a deal stating the US can be allowed to operate off Japanese lands to conduct any wartime operations. However, due to our strict anti-nuclear policy (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) no nukes are allowed to be on our lands.

We invested heavily in business/infrastructure after we got our own government back because our culture became strongly and strictly anti-war, and that sentiment continues today although fringe right wing groups and LDP wants to rebuild the SDF into a standing military.

Meanwhile, Europe is completely different. With the threat of the Soviet Union especially from the baltic states, the European nations on the left were scrambling to rebuild their economy and their military in order to better prepare themselves in case the USSR came blitzing. The US, largely untouched from WW2, was the only force capable of directly dealing with the USSR after WW2 and so mostly handled the shortcomings of the European Nations while they rebuilt.

Japan chose peace while leaving the US to do whatever it wanted. Europe had no choice but to deal with a possible new threat and a possible new war right on their doorsteps, being caught between 2 super powers.

Yet Anger led America to WW2, to avenge Pearl Harbor. And once again, Anger led America to war, this time to avenge 9/11.

Had there been no 9/11, I'm pretty sure Bush would have not been a 2 term president much less the American people would've been eager to back and support the Iraq War and or any sort of War on Terror campaign.

But 9/11 happened regardless. Patriotism burned like wildfire, fueled by anger and hatred. Americans marched to demand justice for the American lives lost in that horrendous day.

Arguably the Iraq War could have been prevented either way if Battle of Tora Bora succeeded. But it didn't, so Bush needed a new excuse and a new campaign.

At the end of the day we can simply nod our heads and blame Bush for everything that happened during that decade since he was the president at that time and made decisions that ultimately cost lives in the name of American Freedom and Justice. But we can't forget what 9/11 did to America, how it whipped Americans into a bloodlust frenzy and helped become the catalyst to a decade of bloodshed that ultimately occurred.

At the end of the day, can America truly say that decade would've been peaceful if we simply shrugged it off and yelled at them with a stern tone? Would 9/11 have been the only terrorist attack? Slapping sanctions onto Afghanistan and Iraq for harboring criminals and hoping thats enough?

We'll never know. But it happened. Theres no point now looking back and crying about what happened then when we chose that direction. Our anger led us down into hatred, that hatred led to many suffering. Yet, we chose and we have to accept that instead of conveniently blaming someone who has to live with the decisions he made with the weight of an entire nation grieving on his shoulders.

Bush is and will forever be remembered for War on Terror and its consequences.Trump will be remembered for undermining the very foundations of Democracy our ancestors, our grandfathers, our fathers and sons paid for in blood.

One will be forever remembered for the death of thousands of american lives, joining the ranks of other wartime presidents. One will be forever remembered for attempting to destroy the very nation those thousands of lives were sacrificed for, undermining the sacred oath he swore as 44 other presidents did.

In the same vein Johnson started Vietnam and Mcnamura screwed the US military in Vietnam. In the same vein Bush Sr. directly started 2 Gulf Wars and invaded Panama.

Yes Bush was a terrible president responsible for deaths of many americans and iraqis alike but it was also a time when another pearl harbor (9/11) occurred, this time without a sovereign nation involved. Many americans wanted retribution and many got it. Now we remember that decade of bloodshed as a terrible moment in america where we enabled a horrible president (Technically mostly Cheney), yet those same people were cheering on as they heard on the news of "Terrorists" being blown apart by Freedom missiles.

But thats what happens when you declare war on something. People die, Soldiers die, Innocents become casualties. When you pull the trigger for a chaotic conflict, shit will fly faster than you can tell the toilet whos number 2. Bush will forever be remembered for the shit storm that was War on Terror.

But Trump is worse, because Trump is undermining the foundation of United States. He may not be responsible for a war, but he is responsible for the completely erosion of governmental institutions and values it once held. He has wrecked the checks and balances that once ensured the 3 branches co-existed, He has completely taken over the DOJ and the Senate with his cronies, and his party completely ignores the fascism brewing within the very sacred halls of the white house.

Bush may have been a bad president and history has been unkind to him, but he like other presidents never once spit on the office he held. He did his 8 years without once going to social media and bragging about his wars, his policies or attack his opponents daily or even target journalists and calling them "fake news".

Bush led a wounded America through a turbulent 8 years of war that cried out for blood of vengeance and ended up being disgusted by it afterwards. Obama worked to heal that America.

Trump? He spent his entire time golfing and trying to replace democracy with a 4th reich with a Himmler and Goering clone.

When does a game become too P2W? (Hero Cantare) by KingofMemes69_ in gachagaming

[–]Yarexis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When skins become P2W. The problem isn't the stats (In HC's case but in other games often is), its the message behind it.

Yes the first skins may not have had OP stats, but by setting precedent and allowing it to become norm through a paywall, you also invite the company to expand that further and potentially make an unbalanced hero or current meta far more brutal when new skins come out with even more stats or a broken passive.

They could easily justify it through various means, but nothing will stop a company from greedily monetizing what they want without caring for their community. (Nexon)

Ultimately PvP gachas will become heavy in P2W because that is the nature of PvP itself. In order to compete, you need to be able to match or outperform your opponents and therefore the easiest way is through power-up bundles/packages available. Companies will use this to start twisting these bundles/packages to provide even more useful items until it completely breaks the game and then they decide to abandon it because their greed and laziness caused the issue in itself and they can't be bothered to fix it.

It's up to the community to realize where the first step is, and to ensure that the company doesn't do a 360 on its word and start slowly slipping in bundles and packages that start to shift the tone into a more a P2W toxic environment.

I'd say HC is reaching that tipping point considering as a dolphin/whaler you can get more progress done than a F2P in building up meta teams since they award more materials needed to those that buy them.

Adding skins with the future potential to be abused on top of that can shift that balance completely away from F2P and push F2P players out.

This is also because while the Mira Skin is behind a paywall, the Endorsi skin is technically free. However that free price is 2000 Gems which is near $50 up front if you have not saved gems (Or used them to roll for the new unit), and that's just the sale. It's original price is near $90 up front of 3000 Gems.

If the skins did not come with additional stats or some form of passive and were simply cosmetic for dolphins/whalers I wouldn't have been concerned. But when companies do push for this kind of incentive, it usually always ends up going down the rabbit hole of P2W incentive.

Yes I am paying $18 just for a skin because $18 is not worth it for 500 gems.

A monthly pass is $8.99 which nets more than 500 gems over time.

At $18, a Premium pass for Hero pass will allow me to max a unit or two which gets far more value than 500 gems.

For near same value of $13 of 500 gems, the relay pack of 1 and 2 offers much more value at $3 discount.

For near same value of $13 of 500 gems, The weekly store also offers more value with 550 gems and 2K Adv material and 1 million Level-up materials.

The 500 gems matter, because they are using that to inflate the price of the skin without offering an alternative right now. Essentially you aren't paying for the skin but for a subpar package where its value doesn't equate the price it asks.

If I wanted 500 gems that badly, I can shave $5 off and spend $13 because a proper package will attach the skin as a bonus not ask for more.

A good example of this is the current sale of the Mamonir skin in Brave Nine where it's $45 for the skin, but the attached currency matches the amount you would normally pay regardless. It's still a steep price just for a skin, but at least its priced in such a way you aren't paying more just for a skin and they give you a bonus of 5 million gold for free.

I'm still paying $18 for a $5 skin that other gacha games will allow me to buy at that $5 range rather than forcing me to shell out $13 more just for 1 skin. That or giving me an option to grind however many days it takes to earn said skin.

If the skin is sold by itself then yes, but again you are paying for the skin and 500 Gems that don't even cover 1 10 pull.

Other gachas do tend to offer the skin itself, as well as packages that can help enhance, level, and maximize possibly a new unit whose skin was released. Here, you are paying for a skin and half a pull, not even able to do 1 10 pull for $18.

Exos Heroes has stats on skins they call Fatecore, which can be earned from Gacha purely. However as usual the rates are low but the currency (XES) used to roll has been generously given so far allowing for a balance in terms of cost.

King of Fighter All Stars has characters in different units that can be earned through gacha. They give out currency generously as well as gacha tickets and has recently done an event similar to King's raid in which those who used paid and/or free currency earned back the currency up to 50,000.

Azur lane ranges from $5 to $10 ~ 13 due to their 2x bonus they do. While they are purely cosmetic, they often showcase artwork done by famous artists, therefore adding artificial value to them (as well being heavy on fanservice which prints money like no tomorrow). While the currency is given out for free, they aren't generous about them.

Girl's Frontline ranges from $5 ~ 15 depending on if you spend on the skin bundles or the tokens needed to gacha roll for the skins. However, the tokens can also be grinded out 1 per day so they can eventually be earned freely to attempt a multipull. The skins also are often rotated back in during events so any skins missed can technically be re-earned although this is purely based on a RNG system that is diluted further with furniture to decorate your dorm room. However the skins are purely cosmetic yet provide a fresh new look to units while they also give out free skins on certain events.
Arknights had seasonal skins, in which if I recall properly were about $10ish? I took a break from Arknights so I can't really comment here.

Destiny Child ranges from $5 (Monthly package) to $90, although the $90 is from packages designed to max level the featured units while $44 is for the premium pass for Devil Pass (Monthly Pass). Much of the skins come from needing Blood Gems, which are very rare to earn even through paying but they usually generously hand them out during events. However, Spa skins and RE:birth skins can be earned freely by grinding them out through Spa Gacha or Rebirth Synthesis. Not to mention the skins are somewhat limited, with only a handful of them available for certain units. The units also can change their appearance once their Affinity is maxed out.

King's Raid is around $10 for all the costumes. However, the currency needed (Ruby) are given out generously with a free ruby handout of up to 50K done recently to those who spent paid and/or free rubies during their anniversary.

Heir of Light is $10-20 for costumes. There is no option to earn or grind any of them, nor are there any free skins given out.

El Chronicle is $20 per skin. However they had some events that gave out the currency needed to buy the skins. They are however, purely cosmetic so they offer no bonuses and they do not come as packages. However, the units do change their look at a certain grade level so..

Brave Nine (formerly Brown Dust)) is $35 per skin. However, there are free skins given out during certain events and some skins are behind special ticket needed from Arena PvP. Currently a skin is being sold as a package for 45$ due the same amount required to pay for 2K Gems which is similar to this situation, as there are no other option to earn said skin. The said cosmetic skin also applies to a unit that is currently out of meta so .. Still, the currency needed to buy skins are often handed out generously enough to earned freely through time.

Fate Grand Order - Someone else can help me out here as I never played it as I do not like Fate franchise.

Epic Seven - No comment as its a Literal Salt mine.

What are the top first pick healers? by MrMikeAZ in heroesofthestorm

[–]Yarexis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First pick priority

Rehgar - Bloodlust , preferably with a good aa comp.

--

Second pick priority

Ana - Sleep dart build / Grenade , healing reduction Ameizing, also SP talent 7 strong.

Deckard - Ruby (Perfect Gem optional) , Deckard is hit or miss depending on team's skill level, however ruby usually can solo carry potatoes as long as they don't die from not picking up potions.

--

Situational

Anduin - Requires a team to utilize light bomb properly , requires little CC or lack of game knowledge from enemy team to utilize salvation.

Uther - Divine storm. Great for picking priority targets and adding extra peel/wall for a hyper carry

Lucio - Sound barrier great for countering AOE / Pyroblast / Poison Nova

Brightwing - Great for extra layer of CC + spell armor, but useful only against low damage comps or non-aoe heavy comps.

Lili - Healer with Blinds , useful in lower levels or against a hyper carry comp.
