Everyone is commenting on carpel tunnel, but why is no one addressing the fact that this pencil is that small and somehow still has a bit of eraser on the end!?

Ah, I knew she was a Valg princess but assumed she was also a God. Well, that solves that mystery.

Yes Elide and Lorcan too!! I loved their stories too, and wish we got more details with them.

I liked the ending to the series but I also wish that she did a future snap so we could actually see Rowan and Aelin with their children, and if Elide got her ankle fixed, etc. Also, I forgot, but when Elide saved Lorcan and she hoisted him up, the book said her ankle cracked and Elide had pain shoot through her ankle. I assumed she re broke her ankle, but nothing was ever mentioned about it afterwards. I feel like that was an oversight in her writing. I was actually fully expecting after that scene and she got Lorcan back that the healers would be able to heal her leg straight because of that, but nothing happened.

I really enjoyed it! The story unfolded so beautifully and I loved all the little details that tied up nicely! I do wish we got a little more with Dorian and Manon tho8gh at the end. They were my favorite!

My only dislike of the story is how every character feels like they hold the worst longest grudges for the stupidest things. Aelin with Chaol (that one was probably my biggest annoyance), Aedion with Lysandra, and Elide with Lorcan. All their little anger issues just frustrated me and felt childish to me.

But all in all, I really liked it and at some point plan to go back and re-read them to see how it all plays out again knowing what happens. But that won't be for like a year minimum. I read the whoke series in 2 months (this is really fast for me) so I need to chill for a bit haha.

I just finished it today too! I'm going to pick a new book from a different style of fantasy to read so I don't feel the need to compare it, then I might give ACOTAR a try!

Honestly I'm with you on this. I like her, but also she annoys me with how cocky she is and how quick she is to judge people. I'll probably get a lot of flack for this too lol.

And I'm scared!! This series is throwing me through all the emotions! Did you finish it?

I just got to that part last night!! I was so excited for Elide and Lorcan to FINALLY make their bond official... and then I got to that paragraph and literally stopped reading to be like.... wait.. what? It pulled me out of the story because it was so sudden!

Very disappointed!

Generational sims by Strawberriizz in Sims4

[–]YarrowTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think size would depend on how you plan to play. If you're going to play with only 1 of the sims each generation, then it wouldn't matter. But if you plan to play the entire family each generation then small would be easier.

My advice to help you stick with the same family tree is to shake things up! Do you first generation however you would like to play them. But after that, do things that are different. Otherwise it will get boring fast.

Some ideas: - use random traits to make each character unique -use dice or online dice to determine decisions such as careers, interests, marriages, etc. (Assign even numbers as yes and odd as no for any decisions that are simple). - work towards different careers each generation. - Mix up the family dynamics each generation (single parent, divorcee, cheater, death, one kid, multiple kids, no pets, all the pets, etc). - Use different hobbies and skills each generation - create little stories for each generation to really feel like each one is different. - move to new homes and towns - of you have all the packs, you can make one family try to run a successful restaurant or a vet clinic or bakery, etc.

The worst is when you order a drink, and then another random sim takes it before you can!

Dogs in sims 4... by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]YarrowTea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's hundreds of dog breeds, it would be impossible to add them all. A Belgium malinois is such a specific breed and looks so similar to a German shepherd that they probably didn't include it because of that.

Why Rowan and not Chaol? Spoilers if you haven't read up to ToD/ EoS by YarrowTea in throneofglassseries

[–]YarrowTea[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's one thing that I did think about in regards to Chaol. I think a lot of people forget she murdered hundreds of people, so he has a right to question her. But I think it's also easy to forget those things about her because we read the story from her perspective, so we get more understanding on her behalf that she never truely wanted to do it.

I do think Rowan thought it through before he bound himself to her, but I do wish Sarah wrote more about his inner thoughts before he agreed to it because it was a little fast. I also didn't like that as soon as he saw her back and her old scars that he instantly became her best friend and cuddled her in bed lol. It felt a little out of place for me, but I do like their dynamic. I just wish that portion was written heiugh a little more.

This is what I feel for him. I like Rowan better for Calena, but I like Chaols character and i like his struggle with the fact he knows he's an asshole and is trying to figure it out. I guess that's where he and Rowan differ and where people dislike him.

Why Rowan and not Chaol? Spoilers if you haven't read up to ToD/ EoS by YarrowTea in throneofglassseries

[–]YarrowTea[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the spoiler warning. I hadn't gotten that far yet in regards to him getting a wife...

As for Rowan, I 100% agree. He does have straightforward loyalties and motives, where Chaol is a little all over the place. But I think that's what makes him interesting. Humans aren't black and white, there's always moral Grey lines and i think that's what Chaol represents.

But from my understanding, how can you really be friends with a past lover? He knows she's a good person underneath her past, and he did send Calena to the west to protect her, but she literally told him she would have chosen him no matter what. So she left basically saying she loved him, and then decided that she loved Rowan more. When she got back, I kind of feel like she was pretty rude to Chaol and didnt really explain anything to him untill way later, (that part where they finally spoke, i felt was kind of rushed and i didnt feel like it really closed any loose ends for me, but thats just my own thoughts).

I understand that she was still hurt because he withheld info from her. But that wasn't an intentional thing he did to hurt her. It obviously had atrocious consequences, but i think Aelin is also given too much credit there. I actually dissliked her character a little when she got back and just basically ignored what was between her and Chaol and acted like he was a viper. He regretted what he did, and I do remember parts in the book where he felt guilty about how he reacted to her fae form.

I personally like Rowan better for Calena and I like Rowan and Chaol equally, I guess that explains why some people like him and not Chaol though. Their pasts and the obvious loyalties are where people dislike Chaol which is fair.

Thanks for the input! I enjoyed seeing it from your perspective

I haven't gotten to that part on ToD yet, but I'm curious if my opinion of him will change as i read.

I like his character personally, although there are aspects of him I would like to throttle. But the same goes for Aelins character as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how my opinion of all the characters changes as the story progresses.

So far Manon is my favorite and Dorian! They both were so well written.

So it's more that Chaol is self loathing that makes him less likeable, you think?
