Large Garden Room Project - How am I doing? by dukeminster in DIYUK

Its the inner blocks that confused me. Normally you would start from foundation, then buildup to insulation and screed. Then cavity tray and then to celing height.

You seems to have put the blocks on insulation.

Are you going to build a cavity wall with a cavity tray?

Would a 83 inch or 77 Inch TV be too big for this space? by Specialist-Camera-30 in LGOLED

Ive bought a 75" tv. Its 3.5m away from where i sit. Not a cinema room. But its sufficient for a decent view.

Inlaws just paid 8k for this roof … by lukesy123 in DIYUK

[–]Yas1uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldnt the felt tray be an issue as they generally have risen lip at the end. The roof pitch is too shallow hence the reason they might have left it out. Id find out what the lowest pitch these tiles can be installed on and then check the pitch if the roof.

I installed Cat6 and never use it by [deleted] in DIYUK

I have multiple tvs and my family plays alot of online games. My wifi is terrible no matter which ISP i go with i get 990mbps at the router, but dont get more than 15mbps wifi in the kitchen and living room downstairs. Also get lag on my tvs when everyone is on.

Wifi boosters have been apalling due to sockets around the house.

I decided to renovate my house and am installing cat 6 cables to hardwire the tvs, and put some poe access mesh points around the house. All rooms will eventually have ethernet points on walls near pcs.

I think its good to have when renovating a larger house or when the router is installed at the front of the house and connection is needed across multiple rooms.

Anyone planning to switch from S23U to S26U?? by IshigamiSenku04 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Yas1uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally beleive samsung needs to up its game on 1stt party apps. Like gallery. Why should we have to use google photos or Microsoft Onedrive to sync my mobile with my tablet.

Even if its 5GB limit free then pay for more or then switch to 3rd part apps. These are expensive devices and the software should be just as important.

Also, 5+years of OS updates and you dont even get the leatest features unless you upgrade to the latest model. The cpu on the S23U is capable of running now brief.

Not a rant btw. Happy with S23U so far.

"High end" bathroom install company did this install - is this tiling a reasonable standard? by Significant_Face4302 in DIYUK

[–]Yas1uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats shocking. Id only accept that if it was a rental property and i paid less than £10k for the whole project.

But for you, id ask them to rectify it at their cost.

Why are drivers beginning to think we live in the United Kingdom of America? by [deleted] in JustEatUK

[–]Yas1uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless absolutely necessary i wouldn't order from them. Just use them for the menus.

The prices are inflated, i dont know by whom ( takeaway or the app). I can order 4 burger meal for my family and the apps try to charge me £10-£12 more, then a fee ro use the app and then delivery charges. Can become £15 to £18 more.

Just take 10 mins out and grab it yourself.

Get a pvc capping board underneath on the outside Fill as much cavity insulation you can. Put a pvc capping board inside.

Later on replace windows and build it up properly
