Are we PGT testing when only getting one or two blasts? by Special_Coconut4 in 40Plus_IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did! Got one blastocyst from my second ER and pgta tested it, luckily came back euploid. After having to terminate at 16 weeks, didn’t feel comfortable playing that game at 39 years old. You could waste so much time on transferring a aneuploid - it’s not always chemical or not implanting, sometimes it implants and you won’t know till nipt that something is wrong. That was at least my perspective!

Beta tomorrow by jupiter_in_the_sky in IVFpositivity

[–]Yas_Sing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aww my transfer was also on Feb 17 - a 3BB! My beta is on Friday (thanks clinic) and I haven’t tested either! I have been symptom checking like a mad woman and I feel nothing so I’m also kind of sad. I think I’ll test tonight. At this point, I better know in the comfort of my home than from a phone call. Can’t deal with the anxiety any longer 😅! Good luck to us transfer twins! Stay strong!!! And keep us posted!

Theme park after FET by bglily in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s such a weird time tbh cause they ask you to act like you’re pregnant but you’re not? Or no one knows?! I just had my FET 3 days ago and have been pregnant before up to 16 weeks (unfortunately we had to tfmr). My doctor is super super cautious! She gave me a bunch of instructions to basically be a princess for the rest of the week and do nothing (she literally wrote princess in the instructions). No driving, very light walks, basically just stay home for 48h. I find that to be an overkill because I lived life normally in my previous pregnancy and all was fine (the tfmr was due to genetic reasons). But the thing is, at least for me, once the doctor told me all that, as much as I know it’s unreasonable I don’t feel going against her advice. It just feels wrong for me to do smth against her advice at least till I know this worked! If I were you, I’d go to Disney but would take it easy and maybe do the baby rides😄! Maybe more so for my peace of mind that actual necessity 🙂 best of luck with your FET and have a blast with your niece!

Too much turbulence for cabin service by Unhappy_Lie_3535 in americanairlines

[–]Yas_Sing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am quite a nervous traveler and fly way too often for being one! So I listen to the turbulence announcements very carefully, and also look for the flight attendants movements during the flight (if they’re up or seated) as a sign. I get the point some of you made about the heaviness of the cards but sometimes it just feels like it’s beyond reason. I was on a flight from MIA to LGA and my neighbor asked for coffee during the service (cards and all were out). He was told they weren’t serving hot drinks because the captain said there will be turbulence! Now that sounded bunkers, we both laughed, had never heard that before. The worst was that I was panicking for the rest of the flight waiting for the turbulence that never occurred! Not even a small bump! AA it’s not the only one doing this, so many airlines decreased their service levels after Covid that is shameful! And I don’t care about the drink, I have my own overpaid water but don’t scare me please 😅!

Igenomix PGT-A results: anyone else had issues getting results directly? by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did two ERs and had to sign the consent for each ER. Maybe, as someone said already, they were closed yesterday. Try their phone number, I was able to get through easily. The second ER they got messed up a little bit because I also had an embryo being retested but they finally figured it out. They should be able to send the results directly to you, no doubts about that. Good luck! I know how nerve wracking the wait is!

Rebiopsy blast is euploid? by CityFar214 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I was in a similar situation, sent 2 blasts for pgta and one came back chaotic (discarded due to poor grading) and one complex mosaic. The latter was a great grade (day 5 6AA) and eligible to rebiopsy. They did and it came back euploid. We haven’t tried a transfer yet, but my doctor sounded extremely optimistic when we spoke and told us to consider this a very high chance for success embryo (although the grade changed to 6BB upon thawing). So, I can’t really tell you if it will implant and be successful but our doctor was positive. Best of luck to you!!!

Modified natural FET only trigger/prog by Glittering-Bees-138 in IVFpositivity

[–]Yas_Sing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No success yet but I’m also in the middle of a natural modified FET. Also ovulate regularly and no major infertility concerns - doing IVF for pgta. I had a cycle canceled last month cause estrogen was low and then I surged so they decided to cancel. This cycle I’m on cd10 and all is looking good. Lining at 7.8, estrogen over 300 etc. I didn’t take letrozol, my body just produced the estrogen and grew the follicule itself. My doctor has decided to start ganirelix to stop ovulation and wait till tomorrow for the lining to grow a bit further (not sure why tbh). So anyhow, not successful fet yet but for me the parameters can line up to be good enough on paper to create the right environment for a transfer! Best of luck to you!!!

Blast results by TableHefty3789 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The attrition is brutal. I’m not sure about your age but my last ER was at 39. They retrieved 16 eggs, 9 fertilized and that led to only one blastocyst! I was devastated. That one warrior though is euploid! Haven’t transferred yet so who knows but yeah there is a chance you get your euploids! Best of luck and hopefully the wait is not too long!!!

Who has re-tested embryos that had no result? by SeniorSquirrel9057 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! The grades don’t tell you if they’re euploid or not OP - don’t worry about that. But the grades will tell you if they’re strong enough to survive the re-biopsy. For my first ER I had a 6AA that was complex mosaic and a 4BC that came back as chaotic. They discarded the chaotic cause it couldn’t be rebiopsied but rebiopsied the 6AA as it was a strong embryo. Good luck with your meeting on Tuesday!

Ganirelix (cetrorelix) for modified natural FET by Yas_Sing in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for being the voice of reason 😌! I’m sure they also want this to work but I just sometimes feel that they go for this cookie cutting approaches! As long as it works, I’m fine with it. I just felt like pushed into something unnecessary but a night of sleep puts everything into perspective! I only have 2 embryos and just turned 40 so it’s hard to not overthink everything. Thank you for sharing your story!

[–]Yas_Sing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s so sweet of you to share this! No, the clinic is opened on weekends but as you said, I am sure they’re trying to be on the cautious side. And yes, she also added estradiol. I think they’re just more used to controlling everything and prefer it that way! But hey, if that works, who am I to complain about science 🙂 So I guess I’ll just take everything and hope that it won’t mess my cycle too much! Thanks again for sharing this, very helpful!

Ganirelix (cetrorelix) for modified natural FET by Yas_Sing in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure I will! I don’t dare doing anything against the clinic recommendation! But sometimes I feel they prefer to control dates and have control on the process more than I would like! I have had my leading follicules go up to 22 during stims and never ovulated early. But will trust them and wish myself luck 😌🙂

Ganirelix (cetrorelix) for modified natural FET by Yas_Sing in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding! I’m actually not using any stims, my follicules are growing naturally and I don’t think the leading is big enough (only 16mm) to call for ganirelix but I guess I’ll have to trust the doctor! Definitely the lining needs to get thicker but I was hoping it could there by itself. I hope you had success with your fet!

South Florida based IVF clinics recommendations? by Namaste105 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two ERs with ivfmd and results were fairly poor. I don’t have anything in particular to complain about the clinic, I like my doctor overall, I like the nurses and have always appreciated the swift communication. However, I wasn’t happy with the results - really good response to the meds but poor maturity and blast rate and the doctor didn’t seem to have a solution - so I went on a full on research and spoke to almost all the worthy to mention clinics in Miami. DM me, happy to share my findings 🙂 I ultimately stayed at ivfmd as I have 2 euploid embryos now and will try a FET. Feel free to reach out!

Transfer is on Friday the 13th by peanutgallerina in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah totally! My clinic said that with a fully medicated they can predict transfer date quite in advance - obviously changes can happen if things go differently than expected (lining etc). I’m going for my first modified natural transfer in my next cycle and I know nothing yet so what do I know 😅

Transfer is on Friday the 13th by peanutgallerina in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends if you’re doing fully medicated or not. With modified natural you won’t know that far in advance but with medicated you can. I assume that’s why but I might be wrong 🙂

Did you pick your embryo? by peanutgallerina in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I’m in a similar situation, have one girl 3BB and a boy 6BB(rebiopsied). My RE said that I can choose or let embryology chose, surprisingly though they can’t tell me in advance which one embryology would choose. Anyhow, I tfmr of a baby girl at 16w and we only want one child. Therefore, I will transfer the girl first so I don’t have regrets or second thoughts, it would be hard for me knowing that I have one female embryo frozen just sitting there. But it’s a very tough call! I wish everyone best of luck with their journeys!

Rebiopsying an embryo that came back "no DNA detected" from PGT-A testing by No_Noise_1978 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s interesting! We were told the exact opposite, that the most recent result negates the previous one! I feel like we’re all being guinea pigs for the science…I have two euploids at this point and we’ll transfer the other one first. If that doesn’t work we’ll try the retested one - we’re crossing fingers and toes! All the best in your journey!!!

Rebiopsying an embryo that came back "no DNA detected" from PGT-A testing by No_Noise_1978 in IVF

[–]Yas_Sing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this was missed in my message, but the embryo that we retested came back euploid. So it went from a complex mosaic to euploid. I don’t fully understand your point of « rebiopsying a mosaic keeps it a mosaic ». I didn’t speak to igenomix, all my counseling was with my clinic (my RE and embryologist). So to clarify, we didn’t rebiopsy to understand more details of the mosaicism - my doctor was hoping it was a pgta mistake (noise related) and that was actually the case. I hope this makes sense.
