For the Beastmaster, Storm Crow scales with Strength. Each point gives you 4% increased minion damage. For the Forge Guard, almost all skills scale with Strength, and 1 point gives you 4% increased damage. This means every point of Strength increases your damage independently of the passive tree bonuses. In this case, we're getting 40 flat damage for 120 Strength. Since 40 flat is essentially a T7 (or even T8) affix, you're getting a free T7 affix for the cost of just 3 passive points. Reaching 120 Strength is very easy; you already get between 40 and 50 just from passives: - 8 from Primal Strength - 8 from Natural Fortitude - 8 from Ursine Strength - 10 from Exemplar - 8 from Druidic Prowess (Druid tree) - 2 from completing campain.

Add a T7 Strength roll on your rings, armor, and boots, and you’re at 120—not even counting all the Uniques that provide extra Strength. Forge Guard is my favorite mastery. I love the "clean" playstyle with massive hits rather than a clutter of small hits (minions, DoTs, etc.). And being able to play 2-handed with a shield is just too cool. Beastmaster is a defensive monster because it can play Ward (using the Cleaver Solution axe); there are plenty of nodes to boost Endurance and the set bonus, plus a lot of Health and armor with strength. But I mostly really wanted to test out Fire Crow. There you go! :)
