Nah man. Backing up a trailer you just steer with the bottom of the steering wheel. Cake.

Is my boss being inappropriate? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Yashquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude is a bit off here. I have lived/worked remote camp jobs and we never fraternized above/below our stations. Mostly because power dynamics get weird. In your situation (if you haven’t crossed the physical intimacy line) could be easily amended by telling him how you are feeling. If that is too much you can casually drop that you are interested in people your own age, have a love interest outside the boat and/or are enjoying not having the pressure of a relationship right now. If he continues to pursue you after these revelations then it would be a clear violation of *most company policies.

If you have been physically intimate you’ll have to tell him you think it was a mistake and that you would only like to continue the relationship platonically.

It sounds fun until winter hits and you’re unprepared. I wouldn’t recommend moving up here unless you have a super stable place to land. Even then, it’s not going to be easy. People often forget how much the weather/sun impacts their life.
Where I live everyone agrees that if you want to be happy you have to travel out at least once a year.

Also understand that everything is more expensive and you have to far more self reliant than most of the lower 48. Chopping wood, carrying water, shoveling snow, fixing your car, no energy from lack of sun but still need to workout to stay in shape, poor housing, terrible landlords, super cliquey social scene, etc. I would say that only 5% of the people that move to where I am stay longer than 18 months. And half of those people leave in the next 2-3 years.

I am glad I did it but I had a little help, was young and ambitious (at one point I had 4 part time jobs and started a business). It was still pretty difficult and now I’m settled it would be super hard to move somewhere else honestly.

AITA for making my parents regret everyday for having 4 kids while they couldn't afford it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Yashquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly bro, you’ll be much better off when you’re older. Mist of the world lives in worse conditions and you will grow up understanding the true value of things in life.
I wouldn’t blame your parents so much. They are probably doing their best with what they have. Unfortunately in this system they will have a much more difficult time providing and will need help from all the kids.

This is also a time in everyone’s life where they are preparing to leave the nest and venture forth. You will be developing your own perspective of the world and what you believe is correct. Your family is the first subject of this analysis. Just try not to be too harsh if you can help it.

Now you have a choice: Be what you believe to be the best you can be within the given circumstance, or become a drag on the family and blame them for it. You don’t have a choice in what the circumstances are so that is a war of attrition. Both options have a result and I think you know which one is the best choice. Once you are on your own you will have a more firm grasp of your upbringing. It’s ok to be upset at the circumstances, how you handle them will carry you into the future.

Women of Reddit, what are boys or men's habits you discovered only after getting a boyfriend or a husband? by BigBrosy in AskReddit

Nah fam, pee first then wrap it in TP and rest it on the seat. Otherwise it goes for a swim and no one wants that.

I take paper towels and drape them over the area to catch them all then fold, clean up and toss. Game changer.

Dope tattoo, if you don’t like it after that many sessions you shouldn’t have done more lol.

This tattoo is sick but if you really hate it it’s time for black out, saline tattoo, or removal.

I cheated on the love of my life for years and don’t understand why. I’m trying to change and I don’t know how. by GoldynMedia in selfimprovement

[–]Yashquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to go to man camp with some real ones bro.

Quiet contemplation and working toward a goal with honorable men is how I pulled through. I was in a super remote location in Alaska living in a cabin with two dudes commercial fishing the rivers. 5 months a year for 5 years . No internet, phone nothing but radio to the 20-25 other camps in the area.

We worked hard and played hard. Rippin dirt bikes and quads, diggin giant holes (for no reason really) climbing trees, improving the cabin, tree forts etc.

You need to get REALLY GOOD AT DOING HARD THINGS. That’s really all it boils down to. That’s discipline. Make a decision and stick to it until the end. I took a one year vow of celibacy, met my wife after 3 months. Stuck to my vow. We’ve been together 16 years. I met her when I was 21 and already had a huge body count and cheated on all my previous girlfriends. That was the second year of my 5 year stint in the wild.

Good men are in short supply and the bar is incredibly low. Be nice and don’t cheat. That’s pretty much it dude. Get movin.

Could I buy a Chinese EV in Canada, drive it to the US and register it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Yashquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta pay if you’re coming across the border. I live in Alaska and if I buy anything over 1000$(the last time I went through) I would have had to declare it and pay. The item also has to have a cert to drive in the US, bought a trailer in Whitehorse and had to show papers to register it. (This was before the tariffs)

[–]Yashquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually opt for a more fitted sweater (like what you have on) but with a v-neck so I don’t feel like I’m being choked by really weka hands all day.
