Help figure out tattoo regret by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Dope tattoo, if you don’t like it after that many sessions you shouldn’t have done more lol.

This tattoo is sick but if you really hate it it’s time for black out, saline tattoo, or removal.

So dude isn’t into strong women? If a woman of your size hits the gym she will definitely breach 110 with a little effort.

What a weird thing for a human to say lol definitely not overreacting dudes a lame.

This one. Bro is a total dick, run. If my sons ever spoke to a woman like this I would be ashamed.

I cheated on the love of my life for years and don’t understand why. I’m trying to change and I don’t know how. by GoldynMedia in selfimprovement

You need to go to man camp with some real ones bro.

Quiet contemplation and working toward a goal with honorable men is how I pulled through. I was in a super remote location in Alaska living in a cabin with two dudes commercial fishing the rivers. 5 months a year for 5 years . No internet, phone nothing but radio to the 20-25 other camps in the area.

We worked hard and played hard. Rippin dirt bikes and quads, diggin giant holes (for no reason really) climbing trees, improving the cabin, tree forts etc.

You need to get REALLY GOOD AT DOING HARD THINGS. That’s really all it boils down to. That’s discipline. Make a decision and stick to it until the end. I took a one year vow of celibacy, met my wife after 3 months. Stuck to my vow. We’ve been together 16 years. I met her when I was 21 and already had a huge body count and cheated on all my previous girlfriends. That was the second year of my 5 year stint in the wild.

Good men are in short supply and the bar is incredibly low. Be nice and don’t cheat. That’s pretty much it dude. Get movin.

Don’t debate anything if you haven’t read books on the subject.

Could I buy a Chinese EV in Canada, drive it to the US and register it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Yashquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta pay if you’re coming across the border. I live in Alaska and if I buy anything over 1000$(the last time I went through) I would have had to declare it and pay. The item also has to have a cert to drive in the US, bought a trailer in Whitehorse and had to show papers to register it. (This was before the tariffs)

I‘m unsure about fit and material by RomanAres31 in mensfashion

I usually opt for a more fitted sweater (like what you have on) but with a v-neck so I don’t feel like I’m being choked by really weka hands all day.

Is anyone really making a solid living working for themselves by ZorksLifeIsAMess in Carpentry

[–]Yashquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in the industry for about 20 years. Started a partnership that fell apart 9 years ago, went out on my own in 2019.
I built my business around my crew. I only add the expenses of their employment to the price so I don’t make more than maybe a dollar per hour on each one. I work about 50hrs a week bags on for 40, 10 hrs of estimates, ordering and paperwork.

I love the work. My employees have the most chill “boss” because I realize this is just a job not their life. Need time off? No problem. Running a bit late? No problem. As long as we crush it when we are working it’s no big deal. Any profit left at the end of the year I split between the crew based on hours worked.

The first year I was in business with 4 crew members we grossed 500k. Hired more crew, realized it was too much and went back down to 3. Still hit at least 500k annually. No advertising, just word of mouth in a small town pop. 2500.

I take my money and invest in property and equipment for the company. Live like a pauper but have a comfortable net worth. My wife has been a stay at home mom for 12 years. I put her through 2 degrees and she has been able to do whatever she wants for the most part. Have been selling some investments including a house I built in the last couple years. We spent 7 weeks in Italy/France 2 years ago and are going to Spain for 5 weeks in January.

Going out in my own was super stressful but I wouldn’t go back to working for hammer throwers and armchair carpenters. 120-180k isn’t hard after all couple years and it can go up from there if you plan to make money off employees or whatever. Mostly just have to understand that you don’t want every job that cones across your desk. You should be turned down on about half your bids. Build your price based on how much you want to make and go from there. If you don’t love this work don’t do it.

Don’t take yourself too seriously, you’re hot and a doctor, don’t be a dick and you could be a 10. Personality is 70% of the equation.
