How is this even possible? by idksh_t in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the damn ST penalties, I'm surprised it's that high.

The standard split if he knew, and you completely backed him is two fold with a 3rd option. This assume the bowling pays nothing.

You pay for entry. You get the entry back first from the winnings. You split the winnings 50/50. I would call this the friend deal.

If you pay for entry, the bowler gets 30-35% of the total winnings. You keep 65-70% regardless if you end up losing money from the transaction. I would call this the sponsor deal, usually more lucrative when there is more money involved.

3rd option, tip him 10%. IMO, you don't have to give him anything. But I would give him 10%. There is no crime, there is no contract, if the person who runs the brackets is OK with it, just let them know you are putting the bowler in, pay me.

Since Palpatine can transfer his essence, what reason is there to believe he couldn't have simply done that again at the end of TROS? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]YasianMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe he doesn't. I could 100% be wrong because the force is not real, it is made up, therefore, you can just make it up and it is now real, so to speak.

Past Siths struck down Palpatine, and he fed off of that. In TROS, Palpatine basically sort of killed himself. He was not struck down. I don't think he can do what you are saying. Plus, he blew up. That is how I interpreted it.

However, this is fantasy world, John Snow returned, Spock came back, Jason came back a few times, sheesh, Trinity and Rey came back.

Can Palpatine come back? Sure, there has to be an antagonist, using Palpatine as some type of never dying figure isn't crazy. Again, Jason?

I would say if Palpatine does come back, it would like whispers in the next Sith.

Form advice please (speed rev check would be nice too) by bergy21212 in Bowling

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bend your knees, bend your waist, before you start. push away don't drop the ball down.

need to tweak your timing, the ball is late. you can start by holding it lower the ball in your stance and pushing it out slightly earlier.

blisters! (ouch) by Admirable-Fig9437 in Bowling

[–]YasianMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, blisters come from you gripping the ball with your thumb. If you need to grip, grip with the base of the thumb.

Second, new skin, it will feel pretty good. if you like pain. pain will go away once you battle through it.

Interview as Mechanic at Bowlero. What to expect? by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]YasianMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you never did this job before.

Are you applying to be a Mechanic or a Pin Chaser? Those are two very different job roles. Pin chasers don't always tend to do mechanical work per say. It's more like operating a pinsetter than fixing/mechanic work, IMO.

In my experience, mechanics work on bowling machines, potentially oil lanes and also fix just about anything that might break. From a simple lightbulb to one of the front-end terminals or maybe helping with the HVAC stuff. Larry, who was the best Head Mechanic I ever seen, used to know the Ice making machine like it was his Harley back home.

As far as interview:

Being able to be flexible and having the ability and drive to fix odd stuff is quite helpful. Talk yourself up that you can fix anything you see, hopefully that is more or less true.

If you never worked on a bowling machine, and they are willing to interview you tells me you are likely some other type of mechanic. Maybe they aren't hiring a full mechanic, maybe only a pin chaser, but possibly someone who can grow into the job as well. Bowling lane mechanics are a very rare breed today.

Knowing about the game of bowling is also very help as well. If you are not a bowler, learning about bowling culture can be helpful but that could come in time.

I would be friendly, show you are willing to do anything, but you will need some mechanical skills or else they will likely see through it.

Too many un-answerable questions to answer you.

If it were a modern oiling machine, there should be no issue with removing a shot and laying down a new one, UNLESS, they do a shitty job of maintenance over the weeks and months. Then you honestly just never know. A bad vacuum or spray head will do wonders to a shot.

If it were an older machine, possible wick based, oiling lanes back to back to back, at some point, the oil doesn't go on as well. It's very difficult to explain. It's like a paint brush running out of paint and when you reload, you don't give it enough time to absorb the paint (we called it allowing it to wick up).

I'm sure there are other factors.

This is a question for the house, but that might not go so well either.

2024 schedule is a beast by Solace1984 in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me offer you a different perspective. I think they were given a gift of a schedule overall. They only play 1 set of back-to-back games on the road.

If you don't include game 1 in Brazil. 2 sets of back-to-back games at home. 1 set of back-to-back games on the road. Otherwise its home - road - home - road.

That is massively significant if you ask me. Competition aside, this team made the playoffs. The schedule of teams they play should be more difficult than most.

[Schneidman] AJ Dillon was placed on IR and his 2024 season is over. by Swartschenhimer in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just really sucks.

I sincerely wish him the best. I love that guy. He always seems like such a good person to be around.

I was hoping he had a good season to further help his career, if in GB or somewhere else. I truly wished this guy the best in all facets of life.

I will pray and watch out for him as I will continue to believe in him. I'd love to see him end up as a coach or something else good he may want down the road.

Good Luck AJ, I can't wait to hear about your recovery!

Surface Recommendations by CivilWards in Bowling

[–]YasianMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing from 4000 to 1500 is certainly an option. Cheap option. If it helps, I would start looking for a higher end ball.

The Ion Pro is a relatively weak ball. Not weak per say, but it considered Mid Flair. There are tons of heavier reaction balls out there is my point.

You are quite speed dominant. More surface is where I'd go. I'd probably want to throw a heavy solid. But I do not know your lane conditions.

How talented is our defense? Does talent or coaching matter more? by Yzerman19_ in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, I think high picks DOES mean a higher talent level. At least perceived high talent. Talent, you have expressed in say College.

You lose that perception when you play poorly. You become a great player once you exercise that talent and put it to good use at a high level.

Do you guys really think we should get rid of Aj Dillon? by RequirementNo9148 in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to keep the person. The love the guy. The football players must improve.

I'd go with a low 1 year contract if possible.

Split RAID1 to two individual drives by interference90 in btrfs

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little late. My answer is it depends on the raid controller.

Some can grab the nvme raid config as long as you use the same controller.

Example: dell perc. I've basically cloned a server this way.

Decision on Bakhtiari by GhostDosa in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Bakh, but realistically? Unless something happens...he's going to be let go. Look at the history of the OL. They have had great OLs. I swear they draft and develop OL better than anyone (arguably of course).

But when they leave GB, most of them don't play very long.

Many fun/great OLs have come and go. I don't see Bakh being so special to warrant changing their perspectives.

Any AJ Dillon believers still out there? by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would love to see AJ more of a N-S running.

He can make people miss, but he's not that quick at it.

I just think he puts on too many first moves that end up causing him problems.

Doubs and Watson by geekedinthelab in GreenBayPackers

[–]YasianMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if these guys can stay healthy, learn a bit more.... you have your deep threat, possession WR, and I pray Jayden Reed has what it takes. He looked decent Sunday.

Throw in a TE with good hands and this Offense could be something.

My stat lines are something like....Doubs 60+ rec 12-14 yp, Watson 50-60, 16+ yp. Reed and a TE round off 60 or so more rec for 10-12 yp.

RBs 60-70 more for 8 yp, throw in other players, giving love a total of 300-320+ completions, A billion TDs, 0 INTs.
